DISAPPOINTED.
The hotel is nice from afar and photos. But our experience there was quite disappointing.
Disappointment 1. The hotel reception area was dark and two of the front desk personnel seemed to not want to be there, whenever we went to the receptionist area.
Disappointment 2. My husband had ordered champagne and flowers to be at the room upon our arrival (Thursday) but there was nothing. Once my husband came to reception and asked about them, she mentioned it was scheduled for the next day. Still, We did not received flowers or champagne the next day (Friday), and no note or communication. On the way to our Friday evening dinner, we checked at the front desk. Flowers and champagne were listed on our bill but there was no note on delivery and receptionist informed us that bc there was nothing in their notes, then that is why they were not delivered. No apologies at all. We requested the flowers and champagne to be removed and the receptionist did. Still no apology.
Disappointment 3. The hotel receptionists were unaccommodating and seemed to have little interest in us as hotel guests. We would have to ask questions that hotel receptionists normally freely and happily provide upon arrival. There was a sense of just doing a job and not enjoying it. Receptionists were absolutely not personable. And this is usually one’s first and last impression.
Disappointment 4. The walls/ceiling of the older part of the hotel were not at all soundproof. We could hear drawers
