This stay was a pleasant surprise from other stays along the route. Staff was friendly and kept up the rooms beautifully. The owner should really try and keep thos couple as they take pride in their work. This is a remote location and somehow Avola needs to get some more shops and restaurants. Beautiful location and great job on the rooms. Ps coffee in the rooms would be great

The staff was friendly, and it was very nicely renovated. It was quiet in a mountain setting near the river and just really peaceful. I had a great sleep I would definitely stay again.

A cute remote little motel, right on the highway in beautiful BC mountains. Perfect overnight stop. Hosts are awesome! Pack a light dinner or visit the pub in town. 4th time for us.

Property is impressively clean. We stayed twice here and second time Queen suite. It was very spacious like an Airbnb property and again 5-star cleanliness. Staff was very friendly and provided morning snacks understanding that there’s no option for breakfast close-by. Everything works in Roku TV unlike other higher class hotels we stayed where programs are hardly available. Will definitely stay again.

Nice motel in a picturesque mountain town

The motel seems to be freshly renovated, the room's spacious and clean. Excellent kitchenette for this kind of accomodation, very helpful as the only place to eat in town in the evening opens and closes as it's owner pleases. There's no breakfast, but they provide coffee and some snacks to go, which is nice. Checking in was quick, the lady at the counter quite pleasant. There are train tracks running through the town, so when the train signals you'll hear it along with all the valley as the mountain echo amplifies it. Definitely not the motel's fault, but be prepared :) My only real complaint is the soundproofing between the floors. We stayed for 1 night on our way to BC and then on our way back, and both times had a room on the ground floor. Every time we seemed to hear every step our neighbors upstairs were taking(the lodge has 2 floors). Both times our neighbors were more or less quiet, so no big deal, but still there's definitely a room for improvement there.

This seat was perfect. The kind old lady stayed up very late to ensure that we were checked in, despite the fact that we couldn't give her a heads up due to spotty networks. The place was clean, spacious, loved the small details like areas to put shoes on and all, for the price we paid.

Wild flowers all around and planted boxes too. Very attractive and the hosts were very friendly. Enjoyed free coffee in the morning and a bagged snack for the road.

I was impressed when entering the room. Everything looked recently upgraded, and the layout with a separate bedroom was very nice. We found the beds quite firm, but fine. The only issue we had was that there is no sound mitigation between upper and lower floors. The person(s) in the room above us paced their room till 2:00 in the morning, and the loud footsteps made sleep impossible for all of us.

It’s a hard property to rate fairly as it is located between any larger centre. We thought the owners were fantastic and very kind. The room was very clean, but as we expected it was small. Which is fine for a quick night between places. The beds were not great. However, the juice and snacks were an excellent addition to our stay. It’s an older lodge so it’s expected to be a bit louder, but we still slept pretty well. Thank you again!
