Absolutely epic view. Incredible accommodations and very friendly staff. We had a very short stay and wish we could have been there longer. Highly recommend. The only challenge is the treacherous drive up/down the mountain. It is not paved and very rocky. You’ll need a 4x4 vehicle.

This property never communicated with me or sent over any information regarding my stay. There is literally no way to communicate with anyone there. We ended up driving 15 minutes up a dirt road to try and find the property hoping a manager would be there and there was nobody there. I have tried contacting the property through expedia, through their website and calling the “number”. Absolutely no communication. I got charged almost 300 dollars and I fully expect this to be refunded promptly.

Canavida is an amazing place and we’re really happy we found it. It’s brand new and the owners are slowly building the place out so we were lucky to be one of the first people to stay here. From the start, David had great communication and was super accommodating when our trip was delayed. He also kindly upgraded us to a larger villa and the property was amazing. The living and dining room was spacious and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need to cook (the sushi and sake set was also a big plus). Having AC in the main rooms was a big plus as it does get hot when the sun enters the property. The best part was definitely the view and the pool - it was a fantastic place to watch the sunset every day. David and Jonathane were helpful throughout our stay, answering any questions we had promptly. They also have great local connections and were able to hook us up with tours and a surf school. The property is about a 10-15 minute drive up a dirt road from the main shops and restaurants of Uvita. We were there in the dry seasons and had no problem doing it in our SUV in 2WD but if it was wet 4WD would probably be needed. David also offered to have someone go down to Uvita for us if we needed something picked up and didn’t want to drive into town. Overall we had an amazing stay and would highly recommend Canavida to anyone looking for a place to stay in Uvita!
