Lovely big room, was nice & warm & very clean. Shower was ok, would have preferred it to be more powerful. Bed comfortable. Stunning views out of the front of hotel to River Dee. Hotel was lovely, several different areas to eat & drink & liked the coal fires. Meals were really nice, service at the evening meals not so good though. Otherwise staff were very friendly & helpful. Would stay here again as great location.

Brilliant service, friendly staff, clean, well stocked room, bed wasn’t the comfiest for me but that’s a personal choice. As to be expected with a period property there are quirks, lots of creaky floorboards in our room but nt a lot could be done about this. Overall - fantastic!

What a lovely place to stay! From the roaring fire in the restaurant and bar , to the very friendly staff , Keira , Dee and Kyle to name a few. The style of the hotel was very much to our liking , room was very clean and spacious with a great view of the river. The bath was great and nice a warm shower. We enjoyed the 1st day so much we decided to extend our trip and stay for a further night. Thanks once again to all the staff , we will definitely be back . Andy B

Room had the most awful dingy lighting, really struggled to see what I needed to. No radiator in room, instead a small electric fire with fan blower, bed was uncomfortably hard and the bathroom was tiny (but had a hot electric towel rail and decent lighting). Towels were big and fluffy which was nice. Hotel is in a beautiful setting.

A lovely hotel with beautiful views. The staff are very friendly and thoughtful. The suite I was in was beautiful, but there was no mini fridge available for medication, and non available. An excellent venue for an escape and for a wedding.

Friendly helpful staff and loved the location . Decor a bit bizarre in some areas like random pictures and dining room wallpaper . Staff were helpful but access to our room was difficult due to high number of stairs and number of corridors .
