Motel One Basel is a perfect location for anyone attending Christmas Markets as the lobby opened onto the Plaza where one of the Markets was staged. Transportation on the tram line was just across the plaza so having no car was not a problem. I arrived prior to check-in but the front desk is staffed around the clock and they stored my luggage until my room was ready. I would stay here again.

Fantastic location, outstanding staff and service, great breakfast for a reasonable price, spacious and comfortable room (though no coffee machine or water kettle in the room), fun vibe, convivial lobby and bar area.
