Van der Valk Hotels - accommodation in Beverwijk

The place is very convenient next to the airport. The shuttle is great. It would be good to have the shuttle stop and the actual gates though. The place is clean and it was easy to check in and check out. For the most part the staff was helpful, though one of the staff was not helpful at all. I called and asked about an item that I needed ( lotion or toothpaste) and she did not want to help. She kept on saying no we don't have and then I asked if they have it at the vending/store I front. I don't want to come out of the room if they didn't have it. She still didn't want to help and hung up on me.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the airport. There are signs in the airport pointing to the hotel and you can take one of the trolleys with your luggage both to the hotel and back. As a result, no need to wait for a shuttle - you can just go when you wish. The rooms are small but are clean and have all the essentials. The TV, lights, blinds etc are controlled by a tablet so if you hate all things technology, this isn't the hotel for you. Since we are both tech savvy, we particularly enjoyed that aspect of the hotel. Not enough time to enjoy the other services of the hotel due to flight times, but we have stayed in other CitizenM hotels and found them to have everything we needed. If I were travelling as a solo female, I would feel very safe and comfortable at a CitizenM hotel.
