The Hotel is an absolute must, it’s set in secluded grounds surrounded by amazing views across the beautiful Essex countryside, the staff are absolutely fantastic and nothing was too much trouble, a special shout out to Stephen who made us feel so welcome and spent time telling us about the Hotels History, Christina and the team ensured they made our stay a real pleasure, our room was fantastic, spacious and super clean, as for the food it was incredible !!! I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world and the quality of the food at Downham hall rivals them all, it was real Michelin star quality, needless to say we will definitely be back and will be telling all of our friends about this real gem of a Hotel !!!! Or should we keep it to ourselves??? lol !!!!
A very welcoming country retreat. Excellent staff service, attention to detail 5 star. Woke to birdsong, after a restful nights sleep. Evening meal was superb. Thank you.
