On arrival, no one was at the front desk. We waited for 10 mins for someone to show up. They left a number to call, but it didnt dk any good - the phone was on the desk. Check in was quick, easy and the gentleman was very nice. In our room the phone wasnt plugged in and couldnt be without moving the dresser. Their sokution was to use our personal phone to call for needs. We also had to ask them to take the trash out in the can under the desk from the previous occupants. Breakfast was decent- eggs, sausage patties, cereal, fruit, breads, muffins, juice ajd coffee - everything that should have been hot, was.

The key point why we chose to stay here is that they offered a breakfast every morning from 7-9, which of course as a family makes it economical. We stayed 4 nights, there was a decent breakfast the first morning, but after that, practically nothing. We had eggs, pancakes, sausage, home fries which went down to cereal and pastries every morning after that. First the chef was sick, next day a death in the family, after that we didn't even bother to ask. There was a dispenser of cold orange Tang for orange juice, it appears they just kept adding ice, by our last morning it was just orange colored water. A shame, such a nice place, but doesn't live up to expectations.

Our original room smelled and the A/C leaked all over the carpet. I went to desk and staff was friendly and swapped our room out asap. The second room was much better and didn’t smell bad. The bathrooms could use an overhaul. The restaurant was great the service good and the food delicious. The next morning the breakfast was not laid out by 7 and there were only old muffins and toast. It was explained they were short staffed so there would not be a hot breakfast that day. We decided to go somewhere else to eat for a good meal and coffee. It’s unfortunate as they list a free breakfast and we had to purchase a meal unexpectedly. The coffee was awful also thank goodness there was a diner a mile down the road. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful but I would stay elsewhere.

The view was nice but the room was disgusting. Carpet had stains every inch the beds had nasty stains. I felt so dirty staying in the room. Breakfast was okay. Served powdered eggs, sausage and under cooked potatoes both days with the option of corn flakes or an orange. Served oj of some sort but the cups they give you is sample size.

Upstairs lakeside rooms were quiet and bright. Fridge and microwave in the room was helpful. Good to have ceramic mugs and glasses in the bedroom. All the front desk staff we dealt with were very helpful. Breakfast cook (Paul) was friendly and helpful. Would have preferred if the disposable cups, plates and cutlery used at breakfast were recyclable or compostable.
