First room we were given the toilet was leaking. Room changed quickly. Asked reception for an upgrade as it was my Birthday but they said they didn’t have any and gave us two free drinks vouchers to have at the bar; which was very nice. When we went to the bar I asked for a glass of Prosecco and my partner an apple juice, the lady said Prosecco is only sold by the bottle but as it is my bday she can give me one of the small bottle of Prosecco botella gold complimentary. She was very kind and brought us a slice of cheesecake. Unfortunately the bar manager ruined all her efforts and told her to tell us that the small Prosecco was not included for the voucher and that I would have to pay, I didn’t make a fuss as the italian waitress was very kind and her intentions were good and I didn’t want her to get into trouble, but the manager should have just allowed it and not asked her to charge me £11. Defeats the whole point of getting a free drink offered by reception. Rooms are tired and no hand shower!

Slider/runner mechanism on one of the drawers is faulty. The power cable at the rear of the TV was disconnected rendering the TV inoperable - until I manually reconnected it. Room was clean and tidy. Windows can be opened - unlike many hotels where they are sealed.

It was a good stay at Leonardo’s. The hotel is located next to the train station so it is very convenient if you have a car as there is parking just across the road. It is also a very short walking distance to everything the city has to offer. The place is buzzy and colourful. You can have good, well priced drinks at the bar next to the lobby. Room was clean but needed some TLC. Rails in the bathroom were rusting, drains in the bathtub were somewhat blocked, towels overused. I would expect better from a 4 star hotel. Service at the reception was good and efficient but somewhat inattentive in the bar. We had to be in the waiter’s face to get our drinks. All in all a pleasant experience. And we would come back.

The hotel is very modern, clean and friendly. There is a good atmosphere and good service. I do however feel the price flucation and the price we actually paid for the Saturday night of £189 is very expensive for this hotel considering there is also £22 per night to be paid on parking too. This hotel should really be in the £75-125 range.

This was a nice surprise. We booked it by mistake instead of the Royal Leonardo when there were no trains back to London on our planned return journey date. It was so convenient to get to the station in the morning without having to lug our suitcase through the streets or pay for a taxi. The staff were welcoming, we were warned that there might be some noise from the elevator, but we didn't find it a problem at all. We were out and about all day, but we had dinner in the hotel and were more than happy with the selection on offer. Staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. We would be happy to stay there again on our next Brighton visit.

Lovely, clean and comfortable hotel, good location and station parking close, with discount code at check in. One fault was the terrible squeaking noise from the lifts pulleys, (I was in room opposite). Didn’t get any sleep from 7am ish, when they started to become more active. Reception said they’d pass on to maintenance but other wise didn’t seem too interested! Please get this fixed as it defeats the object of staying. Thanks.

Immaculate room, very clean, couldn’t fault it. The name on the welcome card in my allocated room was someone else. Ask for a room away from the lifts. They need oiling / repairing. Loud squeaking / grating noises throughout the night. To the front of the hotel is a taxi rank. - ask for a room to the rear of the hotel. My room overlooked the taxi rank on the first floor. Taxi drivers in loud conversation with each other, others playing call to prayer chanting at top volume. It was past midnight by the time it became quieter. Until 4:30am when another taxi driver was arguing with a passenger. Convenient for the station. The trains will wake you up from about 5:30am onwards as they enter the station.
