The good: The room was very nicely decorated and functional. It didn't feel cramped despite being small. The floor to ceiling windows offered an unobstructed views of the city and river. The location was ideal for exploring the city. I slept very well and found the bed to be super comfy. I'd absolutely stay again. The bad: I did find that the bed base moved a lot as it was on wheels without a locking mechanism. It moved when I was sitting with my back against the headboard which was pretty annoying. It's so light and mobile that every movement made it roll away. I also wasn't keen on the fact you can get to any floor unrestricted. This didn't feel secymure and should be restricted to residents only (there's a card reader in lifts but not programmed to restricted access).

The hotel is in a very convenient location with quick access to the CBD and riverbank. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained. In terms of extra facilities there was not much to choose from, but basics were provided. The shower was leaking quite badly due to a poor design, otherwise the amenities were of a good standard.

Very difficult to find the premises lack of visibility from the street. The room was clean and comfortable. Parking was an issue as the hotel does not have its own area and must be shared by other parties.

Ibis Syles Brisbane Elizabeth Street is a well equipped and comfortable Ibis hotel. Perfect for anyone wanting a relatively inexpensive but comfortable hotel room from which to explore Brisbane and is close enough for a quick taxi trip to the international airport. No complaints.
