The car park was full so we had to park 200mtrs away and had to walk up hill with my busted knee. Then they charged me twice for the parking. The pool which I was hoping to relax in was closed the entire time.

My room was in level 4 and there was no view. The room was dark, meaning no direct natural light comes in. The room had fluorescent lighting. Strange layout. Bathroom not near the bedroom. Very cold floors. Old building.

My family and I were very disappointed this time at Meriton. We paid full price for the 4 night stay and at no point in advance were we advised that the swimming pool was out of service. This was one of the main draws for us selecting Meriton as we had really enjoyed it on previous stays. Had we have known, we would have rearranged out accommodation. Meriton were unwilling to assist with relocation to the other Brisbane Meriton solely because we had not booked wuth them direct. The rooms were changed partially only once. One bedroom and towel change was missed. Not worth the price this time.

I went to check in and was told I wasn’t able to use Afterpay plus which can be used anywhere as it shows up as a master card transaction, I was told I couldn’t use cash to pay for the room I then had to call to get approval from another person whos card I am linked too, to use all of this while being talked down to and in front of other guests and then with a lobby filled with guests my room number was broadcast for all to hear, something I am not so sure should have been said as loud. To room had a whole in the wall and the suite was warm to the point I had the two air cons on and went out to get away from the heat only to come back with one turned off. While I appreciate their are policies and procedures but regardless of a way a person is attempting to pay a person should not be made to feel like fodder which I was I will not being back

With a three month old baby, the rooms was covered with a strong cigarette smoke smell! We advised reception and they came to deodorise which did nothing.

Bathroom tiles need a good clean and the fans checked. Steam sets off the smoke alarm. Had a leak under the kitchen sink which looked to have been previously fixed but not correctly. otherwise the stay was comfortable and won’t let these couple of things stop us from returning in the future.

Liked: the view from the 73rd floor. Comfortable beds. Newish furniture. Disliked: small fly infestation in both bathrooms coming from the floor drains. Lumpy and uncomfortable pillows. Express service was not delivered until we called the following day. The unit is relatively old. There is black mold in the showers. The kitchen faucet has a very strong flow and is situated in the wrong location so it sprays over a large area including the floor.
