Our room had to be redone as we asked for single beds and there was a king bed when we arrived, You take too long to reimburse the $100.00 bond. The restaurant for breakfast was a 40 min wait to get food which is unacceptable, there was only 1 chef on, and the larger girl behind the counter has a terrible attitude.

The customer service was good, however we had issues with the bath/shower switch, the complimentary cot (for my 1 year old) had no matress just hard plastic planks with a sheet over the top, the toilet seat wouldnt open all the way and rested on our backs when we went and the sauna wasnt working while we were there- oh, and the location (while great on foot!) was a nightmare for driving and I got lost trying to get back bc of all the u-turns and missed street signs. Other than that, it was an ok stay. Have had MUCH better though.

Super close to Howard Smith Wharves which is great, but SO NOISY I may as well have camped on the Story Bridge. Perhaps the rooms on the other side are quieter, but I was unable to have a nap in the afternoon. DEFINITELY make sure you aren’t on the bridge side. Apart from that it was totally fine.

The lobby/ foyer smelt like a port-a-loo it was really off putting, a nice candle or a diffuser would have really helped. The hotel is just so old and run down the rooms are quite gross. It needs a total revamp if you ask me. But nonetheless it’s in. Great location with a great view. The carpet on level 4 is also very very uneven and lumpy so would hate to see an elderly person or someone with balance issues to walk down there as the potential to fall over is definitely there

The hotel was fit for purpose but I don’t think it was worth the money. I booked a room with a river view. I was placed in the 3rd floor behind a tennis court. I had to look through the tennis court fencing to see the river. The room was comfortable but it felt dated and I was asked not to touch the aircon remote.

I didn’t like the initial smell of our room. Had trouble each day with the card/key access to our room. Management had to come and fix on at least 5 times. Tv remote wouldn’t work. Found the temperature in our room fluctuating with got uncomfortable. Had trouble with shower. I never write reviews but feel like I need this time.

Great location, close to riverside and all the bars, restaurants and shops. Nice to be right next to the story bridge and see the bridge lit up of a night time.
