The hotel is really nice and modern but unfortunately there was a rave event down the road so you have groups on people banging and making so much noise and the fire alarm went off at 4am

What a beautiful quirky hotel. The rooms were minimal clean and fresh had everything needed. Bar was lovely but new staff were left to do the cocktails alone , didn’t have half the alcohol needed for them. The new staff member was left apologising to me 3 times and I was left 20 minutes waiting not so good fo me or new team member. Breakfast had everything including alternative so great for everyone. Lifts make sure you tap your room key inside then floor. Will definitely stay again great stay.

The room was clean & tidy and ready when we arrived. The room however was far too warm, the solution, open a window which then means you are unable to sleep due to noise from the surrounding area, road and deliveries. The 4am fire alarm also did not help which was neither explained nor apologised for! Staff generally were friendly & helpful.

The only thing that split our night sleep was the fire alarm went off . It was a false alarm but once woken could not get back to sleep . Which spoilt our stay.

Check in was smooth but issue with heating in our room. To hot. Could not turn down or off. Reception said kmown issue and offered a fan which we accepted. However, no one came with fan. At breakfast asked again was told one would be brought up however by 4pm no fan. Asked third time and eventually got one. Second night fire alarm went off. Told to ignore and ignore a second one but to leave if third occurred. Two nights or limited sleep. Cimplained on check out to be told no compensation can be offered as booked via hotels.com which was incorrect info. Hotels.com called hotel who when investigating hung up and ignored further calls. Breakfast small selection and not everything had labels.

Really nice hotel but our stay was compromised badly for two main reasons. 1. The hotel, at clearly a full weekend at peak capacity, was woefully understaffed. The staff themselves were great but in a hopeless situation. Huge queses at check-in on arrival andf no-one manning the bar area as the two staff available were on check in. Breakfast on Sunday morning was chaos, with no food available by the time we went down at around 9.45a.m., and dirty plates and cups piled up everywhere. Again, not th fault of the two staff on duty. I did learn that 4 members of staff had 'called in sick' so no wonder they were under such pressure. 2. Our room was lovely and clean with a really comfy bed, but we didn't realise that the Air Con was broken on arrival so our room was at 25 degrees all night despite the windown being open! I reported this so I hope they will fix this for the next guests.
