The resort is a good place for a retreat. Peaceful , well designed , comfortable rooms and beds . Long wait times for food , not a lot of options on the property as the good restaurants are on the sister properties . The room had nothing stocked in the fridge or nothing more than bare minimum . Shower takes a while to get the hot water . The corridors need maintainence but overall clean and good vacation spot .

The property offers everything you could ask for in an all-inclusive resort. The only downside is the transportation service. I’ve been coming to this resort for years and there seemed to be less carts transporting and wait times could exceed 15-20 minutes. I will say that most of the drivers are very friendly and polite however we did encounter a driver that just did not fit the atmosphere of the resort but management went out of their way to make sure we were heard on the subject b

-Aggressive Timeshare Solicitation Immediately approached by multiple aggressive sales representatives in the lobby upon arrival. Created an unwelcoming and high-pressure environment. -Extended Check-In Delay Waited 30 minutes to be helped; check-in process for 4 guests took 20 more minutes. Arrived 1 hour before check-in; room was not ready. -Unresolved Maintenance Issues Air conditioning malfunctioned from day 1; never repaired. Ceiling leak reported immediately; persisted despite attempted patch. Power outages occurred 3 separate times during the 4-day stay. -Unequal Guest Treatment at Pool/Aquabar Pool near kids’ club: no assistance provided to find seating. Food/drink orders delayed while other guests were prioritized. Reported to customer service; learned multiple guests had similar complaints about unequal treatment and slow golf cart service. -Unprofessional Checkout Experience Charged $20 USD for a “charity donation” without prior consent. Credit card machine malfunctioned; staff publicly stated my card was declined for insufficient funds (false). Tried 3 cards; all reversed transactions proved funds were available. Staff insisted on cash payment; showed dismissive attitude.

Everything was amazing!!! The views were breathtaking, The food was delicious, The drinks were plentiful lol but The staff was our favorite part about the stay here!! And Elias treated us like family and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional!! I highly recommend Sunset Beach!!

I waited for golf cart at my building for over 40 minutes. No one came pick us up. I requested water and tea bag via room service. I waited over an hour. Very frustrating... I would not go back to this hotel again.

Enjoyed excellent food and drink options in various restaurants in the resort. We got 2 suites and were clean and bed comfortable but on our first day, the air conditioner wasn’t working in one of the suites my brother and his family were at and it took them over a couple of hours after making 4 calls to have someone come check it. Requested a change of room but when we were ready to move and be separated from each other, the air conditioner started to give cool air, still not strong enough but better, so my brother decided to stay in the suite. He was tired from one full day of traveling. Then coming back from dinner the next day, they came back to a suite with puddles of water in the entry way. Good thing no one slipped and fell. They called maintenance to fix the leaks from the bathroom going into the entrance door. It got fixed within an hour. And then on our last full day, my brother requested housekeeping on the hotel app at 1:30pm to clean their suite but no one came. We came back to the suite and it was not cleaned at all. So we called to request housekeeping at 3pm and we were told they will be sending someone to clean it. Then after an hour, we called again to request housekeeping and was told that all housekeeping staff went home and will not be able to send someone until the next day. This has been very frustrating. Overall, because of all the room mishaps, we felt underwhelmed and quite disappointed with the service we got with our stay Pueblo Bonito Sunset.

Just returned from Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach in Cabo. The views are absolutely stunning, and the staff are the true highlight—housekeeping, most golf cart drivers, and even those cleaning elevators and restrooms were warm, hardworking, and kind. Check-out was smooth, and both our Expedia and vacation club credits were honored. We received a $400 credit for attending their vacation club presentation—advertised as 90 minutes but ran about 2.5 hours (we had lots of questions). Note: the credit can’t be used for tips or art gallery purchases. The vacation club tour showed properties reserved for owners, which were beautifully maintained—far superior to the rooms offered through Expedia and other public channels. Clearly, owners are well cared for. Unfortunately, that level of upkeep isn’t reflected in the public accommodations. Hallways are dim, musty, and in serious disrepair. Rooms offer great views but feel outdated. Check-in was chaotic, with long waits and an overwhelmed golf cart system—especially on Sundays. The food was underwhelming, with more upcharges than other all-inclusives we’ve visited, though plenty of included options remain. A resort with exceptional staff and world-class views, but with real maintenance issues that can’t be overlooked.

We love coming here a lot. Some of the staff remembers us and our kids names every time we come. Everyone that works here is always friendly. Gracia greets us every time we come and makes sure our stay is great! Fernando at the main pool always greets us with a smile and helps us find chairs if needed which is great customer service. Christian in activities remembers my kids names every single time we come (3-4 times a year) and it makes them feel extra special. Alan at the main pool is always so funny and friendly as well and has excellent service. Jesus at the market, cant say enough about him, he is always so helpful and also has great customer service. This is why we love coming here because of people as theses that go above and beyond to greet us and make sure our stay is pleasurable.
