We enjoyed our stay with this residence. The acommodations and service provided by the owner was top notch! We arrived the first night with some minor hick ups and the owner provided a prompt response to quickly resolve the issue. The home is more beautiful then advertised. We had a wonderful time with our family and would surely consider returning next year.

The host of this property was extremely helpful right from our first communication. She was resourceful, responded almost immediately. The place itself was exactly as described, clean, comfortable , with some excellent views. You can hear the wildlife throughout the day and night. Navigating the property was easy and everywhere felt safe. Would 100% stay in this exact location again. 3 bedrooms and a lot of gathering space plus the balcony. One of the most helpful items was just the ease and helpfulness of the host with communication. Looking forward to bringing kids with me in the future. The Beach club was great but what was even better is the basically private pool within walking distance. ( 2 buildings away ) Thank you

Good, but noisy and aging a bit

My wife and I and our kids were able to stay at this property for a month. Unfortunately, there was construction next-door from the hours of 8 to 5 - 7 days a week (jackhammers. Concrete saws, etc.). So unfortunately, we really couldn’t enjoy the deck or views in the morning or day. The evenings were beautiful. Host was very communicative and did their best and even gave us a small refund knowing the construction was a problem. Our only issue was we had just wished they had given us a heads up about the possibility as they had stayed there previously and knew the possibility existed. They did suggest we move properties, but that was logistically impossible. The place is nice, but it is definitely showing some age, especially in the electrical, lighting and the appliances. There was no light above the dining room table and none on the balcony to be able to see while grilling in the evening. Overall, again, it was a nice place, but the lack of being able to use the deck was very limiting. I would suggest ensuring that the construction is completed before making your reservation.

Nice Condo in Reserva Conchal

We enjoyed our brief stay in this condo in the Reserva Conchal community. Its large enough for a family and the bedrooms are quite large. The balcony with a grill and comfortable seating options is quite nice. Having access to the Reserva Conchal beach club and the beach itself is very nice. The drive to the club does take some time as its a few kms away. If you want to get out of the community and have a car, the condo is very close to the community entrance gate which makes it fast to get outside and explore to Brasilto for going to the market or local restaurants. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful property in an excellent location

The property exceeded our expectations and was even nicer than the pictures suggested. It was well appointed, especially the kitchen. The location is excellent and being within the Westin complex was a nice perk. We were able to obtain a key card from the front desk and use the Westin gym without issue. There is also a gym for condo guests at the Beach Club. We did encounter an issue with the cold water in the master bathroom, which we were told about prior to finding it ourselves. The issue was resolved quickly. For future guest, we do not recommend dinning at the Westin restaurants. We found them to be extremely expensive for the quality. The Beach Club is incredible (not actually part of the Westin). It is slightly hard to find as it wasn't searchable on the map and directions weren't readily provided (hopefully that is added to the guest information book in the future).

Another wonderful stay at this property! We absolutely love this rental and all of the fabulous amenities. Plenty of space, toiletries, comfortable beds, tons of kitchen gadgets. My favorite time is on the porch in the early morning with the birds. You won’t regret this location, and the owner is exceptional- very communicative for anything you need! Can’t wait for next year!

Peace and tranquility with drama

We are also hosts so we know 5*. This is 5* location and comfort with 2* attention to details. Thus 2*. The good: Peaceful and quiet condo with abundant space and comfortable beds and furniture. The patio gives you great views. Birds eat right out of your hands (well steal your orange). 1 of the 3 TVs has streaming. The beach club is awesome. Beauty golf course. There is the typical chair reservations. The kitchen is well appointed. The concierge is ok, I say do your own research. The bad: 2 coffee makers and dishwasher don’t work. The sink is tiny so this is a real pain and requires doing dishes in intervals. Check in instructions need a lot of work. The gate security gave us a real hard time because the hosts did not provide the condo name and unit number so ask for it. The bbq gas tank was empty. The AC thermostat resets itself to 88 randomly and had to learn to program it. Access to hotel pool you say, only if you pay an exorbitant day use fee. Mountain bikes are low budget, chains kept coming off 3 of the 4 bikes. Their tour guy they recommended doesn’t respond to emails. Worst part: accused us of breaking a kitchen cabinet door. They sent us a picture. It was destroyed. They kept $150 of the damage deposit. I read on another review in CR of someone taking video before and after to make sure you get the deposit back. Luckily my daughter is an avid Snap Chatter and had clear video from our checkout that the doors were clearly intact. Host kept the money anyway.

Great rental for families

We enjoyed this rental very much! It’s a great location with easy access to stores, restaurants, pools, beaches, golf, and more. The unit was extremely clean, quiet, and had a great kitchen for cooking. We loved having coffee on the back porch in the morning with the visiting magpies who would stop by. Wi-Fi worked well for those looking to work remotely. The beds were very comfortable and the showers had fantastic pressure. We will definitely choose this rental again in the future!

Beautiful view, Very Spacious, Responsive host

We spent a week in the condo in early January and found it to be very spacious, clean, well-situated and the BEST view of ocean which we very much enjoyed. The master bed was super comfortable and the water pressure was divine (not always the case in CR). The condo could use some TLC - the dishwasher works but it's definitely past its expiration date. The fridge also works, but the bottom drawer is broken. Patio doors are very sticky and need to be lubricated. We also had an issue with the locking system on the front door but Kirsten was amazing and very responsive. Reserva Conchal beach is so beautiful, and the property itself is very safe and well groomed. You definitely need a golf cart to get around the property. We were VERY disappointed to learn, after being kicked out of the main Westin pool, that it is NOT AVAILABLE to owners/ guests during high season. The Westin pool is by far the best, where all the action is and my teens were sad. Although we were told our hosts would have been informed of this, I truly don't think they knew. Regardless, I went to the Westin check-in and the staff were very polite and after some pleading, they agreed to give us bracelets so we could access the main pool. My advice if you are planning to stay over the holidays or high season, inquire specifically about access to Westin amenities as their policy has clearly change. I was informed it was not because of the pandemic. You have to book the pool for Bougainvillea right now - make sure you do, some other guests/ owners are VERY ornery about people 'dropping-in' to the pool if they are there and have booked it. All this being said, I would certainly recommend this property and this condo. Kirsten was really lovely and always answered my inquiries promptly and did her best to help. Costa Rica is a very special place.

My family of 4 and I recently stayed at this property at Reserva Conchal and I must say it was incredible! This unit is everything and more. Three bedrooms with a separate living area and an amazing balcony with a view of the Reserva Conchal as well as the ocean and the outer islands. The owner was incredible to work with and greatly assisted us with date changes and working with VRBO management. I would DEFINITELY recommend staying at this location. One bonus of this place is that you have to ability to use the Westin Hotel pool as part of a "day pass" program. Access to the Beach Club and the restaurant were a big plus. Safe and secure community. If you come to Playa Conchal this is a great place to stay!!!

Amazing sunsets, well equipped house

Our family enjoyed our stay at this condo, bougainvillea and we would return. Pros: Plentiful linens and towels, well equipped kitchen (better than most vacation rentals we have used), amazing views, beautiful sunsets. The building and unit seemed clean and safe. Playa Conchal beach club was well kept with a relatively quiet pool and beach. The workout facility was also good. We used the Westin facilities one day but preferred the relative quiet calm of the beach club. It was nice to have both options. This was a great home base for us and we traveled to Brasilito and Tamarindo easily with a rented car Cons: Furniture and beds are a bit worn. Beach club and Westin facilities are far. We drove the car so can’t comment on shuttle. Be aware you must walk up and down a lot of stairs to access the unit. None of these would not dissuade me from staying here again.

A great location and beautiful home

We spent this past week in this Condo. Amazing views from the balcony of the golf course and ocean. The Beach Club was a fantastic asset and we enjoyed using the pools and beach access. We ate breakfast there multiple times and enjoyed a couple of dinners. A couple of things to note: It's not really viable to walk to the beach from this Condo. If you don't cut through the Westin, you're looking at a good 30-minute walk along the road. If you rent a car, take a photo of your passport and entry stamp (btw, make sure they stamp your passport when you enter Costa Rica). We were pulled over by a local policeman. He didn't speak English and we don't speak Spanish. The only words he knew were "Passport" and "$50". I had to pay him $50 for not having evidence of a passport with me while driving. Cast a bit of a shadow on the day. Reserva Conchal is a great property. The concierge did a good job advising tours for us. If you're considering a turn surfing, go to mojosurfadventures. Tim and his team are amazing teachers. We all managed to get up on the boards. Good times.

Relaxing Week at Reserva Conchal

We loved our visit and enjoyed all the amenities at Reserva Conchal. We had a very relaxing experience enjoying the private beach access and the beach club pool that was ideal temperature that we spent most of the day there with poolside bar/food services. When we return to this area of Costa Rica we will be repeat renters. Condo was equipped with all the things in the kitchen you need to cook at home or make your own piña coladas using fresh pineapples we got from local fruit market.
