Hand-built in the 1980s by Bob, the original owner, this authentic rustic cabin remains lovingly untouched, preserving its warm and inviting retro charm. Curl up by the wood-burning stove, surrounded by a nostalgic collection of VHS tapes, vinyl records, classic books, and board games, all waiting to be rediscovered. It’s a true time capsule, where every item tells a story, and every moment feels like stepping into a cherished memory.

This little escape offers all the joys of camping—without the hassle!

Cozy Sleeping Arrangements: A double bed with a warm goose-down blanket and a heated mattress pad. The couch in the living room sleeps one extra guest. Bedding, pillows, and blankets provided. Best suited for 2-3 guests.

Toasty Warmth: Heated by a wood-burning stove (bring your own firewood), with two oil radiators for added comfort. The cabin is well-insulated and stays warm, even in extreme cold.

Kitchenette: Equipped with a microwave, air-fryer, kettle, mini fridge, drip coffee maker, and Breville espresso machine, plus all necessary dishes/cutlery. No running water inside, but a water dispenser and access to tap water are provided.

Outdoor Cooking: Fire up the propane BBQ with a side burner or gather around the fire pit for a classic outdoor meal.

Modern Bathing Facilities: A private bathroom is available just 30 steps away, featuring a double shower, fresh towels, bathrobes, slippers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hairdryer.

Private Hot Tub: A new, large hot tub under a gazebo, surrounded by pine trees for a magical soak. Maintained daily for cleanliness and comfort. Privacy screens and blinds ensure your peace.

Pet-Friendly: Bring your furry friends! Just note that the property is not fenced and wildlife is abundant.

Limited Cell Reception: There is no cell service, but we provide Starlink WiFi. To stay connected, enable WiFi calling on your phone before arriving for calls and texts.

The Rustic Cozy Cabin is located on the same property as our other guest amenity, Shanti Yurt, and the owner’s main house. While we value and respect your privacy, and the cabin has its own designated bathroom, private hot tub, and backyard, please note that this is not a completely secluded cabin deep in the forest. If you`re looking for total isolation, this may not be the best fit. However, if you love coziness, character, and a peaceful escape with thoughtful privacy, you’ll love it here!

Upon booking the Rustic Cozy cabin you agree to the following house rules:
1. No parties and no loud music outside at any time. The Rocky View County noise curfew is from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. No visitors.
2. No smoking indoors and absolutely no use of illegal substances.
3. Dogs must be kept under control as the property is not fenced and guests in the Shanti Yurt may also have dogs. Please, be ready to keep your dog on a leash or use an invisible fence collar to set up a perimeter for your pet. Please pick up after your pet. Keep your dogs indoors at night as we have cougars in the area. Guests are expected and advised to bring their dog`s beds and bowls. If you come with a dog, add it to your reservation. The pet fee is 40$.
4. Check with us if there is no fire ban in the area. Igniting fire during the fireban is subject to a 1,000$ fee by the Rocky View County.
5. Please indicate the correct number of guests arriving and if you need extra bedding for the sofa bed. The base booking price includes 2 guests.
6. Please shower before getting into the hot tub and wear a swimsuit.
7. Don`t leave food or garbage outside to avoid attracting wildlife.
