We enjoyed our stay in Ava resort. the service was amazing, the variety of food was great, the pools are so clean and the restaurants as well. The staff did their best to make us and the kids happy.

We traveled with the family. Everyone enjoyed the stay overall. The property is well maintained, super clean and has a lots of amenities. The #1 on the list would be friendly and helpful staff. Everyone wanted to go extra mile to assist you. We had limited choices when it comes to dining because we have dietary restrictions as we can only halal or kosher and none was available. Ad a last resort, we had to revert to vegetarian options which were limited. Overall we all enjoyed our stay and will definitely return if they start offering halal options.

Hands down one of the best Family Friendly All-Inclusive hotels. Modern rooms, with hot tub balcony feature & Room Service. Large clean pools with amazing pool side food options & non-stop service. Food options were excellent, even buffets served sushi, real brick oven pizza, seafood & steaks. Unlimited Taco bar was a hit, Kids loved the gelato & crepe stands. In-door activities such as arcade, virtual video games & laser tag. Top shelf liquor at bars. This place is outstanding. I will re-visit.

didn't like it at all. there is no ocean to swim in, you just sit in the pool, the air stinks like some kind of sewage. went to the room and they left us someone's used slippers, new hotel and the service is very weak

I loved the modern feel to the resort, however it didn’t feel like we were in Cancun on a tropical vacation. Only saw a few iguanas, no coati or birds :( When we arrived, the only reservations available were at 9:30, for the kids in our group that was exhausting.. Too many times during our stay, I got “we ran out of….” It was very discouraging We mostly dined at the buffet restaurants and made quite the stops by the taco stand. Great staff!

This place is huge and the services is good. The only thing is the smell of seaweeds is soo bad if you stay on the north building. I couldn't even walk on the beach or sit on our balcony because of the smell.

I rarely leave reviews, but this resort was such a disappointment I had to speak up. We came to celebrate my son’s 16th birthday and left frustrated. For over $5,000, this place failed us in every way. We never received any pre-arrival info—no mention of restaurant reservations or shuttle service. We ended up paying $160 at the airport for a 10-minute ride. By the time we arrived, all restaurants were booked except Teppanyaki (decent) and Livo (awful—tiny, flavorless food after a long wait). The website menus are misleading; actual choices are very limited. Room service was always wrong, took over an hour, and was bland. The buffet was worse—raw burgers and uncooked pizza dough even after sending it back twice. Our sheets were dirty, and room service never replaced our coffee cups unless we asked. The beach smelled terrible and was unswimmable. We had three power outages. The hotel is still under construction despite being open over a year—never disclosed before booking. Kids banged on our door two nights in a row, scaring my youngest. The front desk said they’d handle it but never did. Diego, our concierge, ignored our concerns. Julian lied about birthday perks when we declined his overpriced tours. A staff member promised a piñata and balloons—nothing arrived. Angel promised a 4:30 am taxi; no taxi ever showed.

Our recent trip to The Ava was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, welcoming, and consistent throughout our stay. Every staff member we encountered was kind, helpful, and truly made us feel at home. The food across the resort was exceptional,well-seasoned and consistently delicious. Each dining restaurant delivered a 10/10 experience, and the top-shelf liquor available throughout the property was a nice touch (no hangovers here!). We especially loved the nightly shows,they were vibrant, fun, and added a nice touch of entertainment to each evening. My daughter had the best time at the kids club. The activities they planned were engaging and thoughtful, and it was great knowing she was having fun in a safe, creative space. The pool was a standout feature,beautifully maintained and perfect for both relaxation and fun. We loved kayaking in the pool, and the kiddie bowling was a hit for the whole family. Laser tag was also a lot of fun, though we wished the space was a bit larger to really move around. The arcade and the gelato ice cream bar were huge hits with the kids too! The spa was stunning and serene, offering the perfect escape for a little “me” time. While The Ava isn’t exactly a beach resort, the incredible pool and amenities more than made up for it.
