Not enough floats (they were gone before 9am), "lazy river" doesn't actually have a current or actually function as a lazy river would, ppl are saving cabanas before 530am so it's impossible to get one, food was not good at all. Beach was terribly dirty, filled with seaweed and extremely murky. "Lobster house" restaurant doesn't have actual lobster for spring and most of summer, which is peak season for travelers, not sure why it's named that. Room smelled super musty.

The resort was very clean. The food choices and quality were great. Activities and entertainment were fun. Most importantly, every staff member I encountered was helpful, friendly and respectful. Standouts are "Angel O" (activities) and Xania (fitness). The resort is lucky to have them both. Angelo is amazing. He is entertaining, funny and inclusive. Xania is an excellent fitness instructor. She is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Hype Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was far from enjoyable. • Wine Selection: Extremely limited and disappointing – only two cheap options available: a Merlot and a Cabernet Sauvignon, both from Chile. Not what you’d expect from a hotel of this supposed standard. • Humidity Issues: The room was unbearably humid, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep or relax. Even worse, there was an actual leak in the roof. • Food Quality: The food at the hotel restaurants was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable or worth recommending. • Photos/Videos: I would have loved to share photo or video evidence, but unfortunately, I can’t upload them here. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

This was our first stay at Excellence Riviera Cancún. Our room was a swim up, non club. Jorge in this area was excellent! Attentive, friendly and timely. We ate at Grill for dinner twice. Excellent both times. Maria here is wonderful! We are at Spice, thank you to Sergio was great! Attentive, warm and kind. Oregano, food was fine-cannoli was wow! We did the breakfast buffet spot on, and she sat outside, referring to be warm. Carlos, above and beyond, thank you! During this time, the beach was not swimmable. So much sargassum. Parts of the resort seem tired. Some of the staff seem bothered. Lazy days on the river or swim up’s was perfect. Every day was sunny. We did not make it to entertainment but turned in early to comfy beds.

Food options seemed like they thought what would Americans eat. Quality was good, but dishes was a little off. Did offer many different cuisines. Nice rooms. Nice pools. Tons of activity options.
