My second time here. Very nice facilities - grounds, restaurants, pool and staff. Beach/ocean are ok but not outstanding. Tons of seaweed on beach and in ocean. Beach is walkable for 1 mile north and 2-3 miles south. Can walk to beach to the town of Puerto Morelos although there isn't a lot there - a few bars and maybe a few shops. The bars at the hotel are ok but don't really promote a lot of interaction with other guests - better if you come as a group. Definitely all adult and very laid back - not a party scene - which is what they and the guests are going for.

Dated rooms with AC not as cold as you'll want, I asked to change rooms because of a mold smell but was not able to get one, they just sprayed an Air Freshener that smelled like Vicks. Also, I tried to get an upgrade as a VIP benefit several times and they always seemed to never have anything available. What was the point of being a VIP on Expedia? Other than that everything else was great.

Overall I was happy. This was by far the best service I've received at an AI. The servers, Hugo and Fernanda (I think), by the lazy river were amazing, the restaurant service was above and beyond and the housekeeping was perfect. The swim up room was fantastic. Guest services was great. The gardens were a pleasure to walk through and view. The French restaurant was excellent however the other restaurants were slightly above average maybe even a little below on some meals but the service made up for the food. My recommendations would be to improve the food prep quality and have the taco truck open at noon instead of 5pm. They were also doing some construction on a bridge over the lazy river and they may want to put some netting in the water verses having wood chips floating everywhere.

We travel to Mexico frequently and loved this property. It’s great for couples or groups. The day time and evening entertainment was fantastic, the property and staff were great as well. We would definitely stay at this property again

Staff is outstanding and so helpful. Such hard workers…. Food was good, nice options. Always helpful if you have any issues/questions. Only thing is there could be better signage…

Great property. Many food options. Also, I loved that the pools were different temperatures! I like a warm pool and while some were too cold for me, I found one that was very warm.
