I recently stayed at Iberostar Selection Cancun for my friend’s wedding. The property is beautiful, with stunning ocean views and a clean, well-kept beach. However, while the setting feels five-star, the experience overall was closer to a solid three-star stay. Some staff were friendly and professional, while others seemed tired or disinterested. Communication could be tricky with a few employees who spoke little English, but most people tried to help and were polite. The Steakhouse was the highlight — excellent ribeye and great service. The Italian restaurant, La Horma, was the opposite; our server was impatient and rolled his eyes when we ordered, which really took away from the experience, though the dessert there was fantastic. The pool and beach areas were beautiful and well maintained, with a very alert lifeguard who made us feel safe. The infinity pool and swim-up bars were perfect for relaxing. Entertainment, however, could be better. Daytime activities were limited, and most evening shows felt aimed at kids. Our room was bright and had a great view, but the shower had no door, leaving the floor wet every time. Still, housekeeping was reliable and the front desk followed up after every request, which was impressive. Overall, Iberostar Selection Cancun offers a beautiful location, great food at the Steakhouse, and excellent housekeeping — but the inconsistent service and weak entertainment keep it from feeling truly five-star.

Fantastic Stay at Iberostar Cancun! ✨ I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Iberostar Cancun. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile with a genuine smile. They truly made the atmosphere welcoming and relaxing. The cleanness of the rooms was impeccable—spotless and well-maintained, which made a huge difference to our comfort. And let's talk about the food! Everything we tried was delicious. The variety and quality, from the buffets to the specialty restaurants, were outstanding. Overall, it was a fantastic vacation. Great hotel facilities very well kept and clean. Staff very friendly, good beverages options, great food availability, kids camp was excellent. Will definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed my stay. It was great to be in a place that felt clean and safe. Everything at the hotel was amazing from cleaning staff to beautiful views. I enjoyed it all around.

The property was amazing. Our room was fabulous! The room service was good. We made a reservation for 6 at the Japanese steakhouse for a birthday celebration and they said it was made for only two people so we ended up not eating there. That was our biggest let down.

This resort was so outdated. The rooms were old and not clean. The toilet would gurgle and bubble when others flushed. The staff was not very helpful and were so slow. The food was very mediocre. Waited on hold for 30mins every call. The concierge marked us as a no show for our shuttle when we were standing waiting for our shuttle an hour before hand. Overall a very poor experience
