About this property

Howell Suite | Engadine Inn & Cabins

Step into the Howell Suite at Engadine Inn, where Victorian charm and modern comfort converge in one of our most spacious historic rooms. This oversized second-floor suite features a queen bed, fireside sitting area, and plenty of room to unwind after a day exploring the mountains.

Historic Touch
Originally one of the bedrooms belonging to Captain Hoyt’s daughters (circa 1900), this room preserves touches of Engadine’s storied past. The Howells — who owned the house for many years — carried forward the legacy of restoration and care, blending old with new as they maintained the home’s character.

Bed & Breakfast Experience
Your stay includes a complimentary homemade breakfast each morning in the dining room of this historic inn. It’s part of the full inn experience — relaxing communal spaces, a sense of connection, and a touch of hospitality rooted in the Hoyt family tradition.

Scenic & Setting Features
Wake to gentle mountain views and the distant whisper of Hominy Creek. Step outside and breathe deeply on the wraparound porches, wander the garden paths, or follow nearby hiking trails into the Blue Ridge. With Asheville just minutes away, you get both solitude and city adventure.
