Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
We stayed here for 5 nights and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience because of the ongoing construction. Before arriving, we were only informed that there could be some construction noise starting at 8:00 a.m. We were not told the extent of the construction or how significantly it would affect our stay. In reality, the construction started around 7:00 a.m., and because our apartment was on the first floor directly in front of the construction area, the noise was extremely loud and felt like it was happening inside the apartment. Even worse, all of our windows faced the construction and were essentially blocked by it, so we could not enjoy the outdoor views or have a peaceful atmosphere during our stay. One of the reasons we chose this property was to enjoy the outdoor areas, including the BBQ/picnic space, but that entire area was closed because of the construction. There was nowhere outside to sit, eat, or relax. Had we been properly informed about the actual extent of the construction before our stay, we would not have booked this property. Staying for five nights under these conditions significantly affected our vacation and was absolutely not the experience we expected based on the listing. Guests should be clearly informed BEFORE booking that the construction affects the views, outdoor facilities, and noise levels from as early as 7:00 a.m.
