The room is lacking many basic items such as a cupboard, fridge, ironing board, tissues.
It was not cleaned well and I had to ask for clean towels. There is no lift so access with luggage is extremely hard and to cap it off I was charged £90 more than friends staying at the same time in a more convenient ground floor room. The staff were not willing to rectify this.
Would not stay again and would definitely not recommend this hotel

Hi SallyWe do provide hanging space for clothes in your room, together with access for an ironing board if requested.Unfortunately we do not have any fridges in any of our rooms. As we stated on your stay, rates fluctuate and are cheaper the more in advance you book them. It is also cheaper to book a room on a semi flex rate which is pay in advance and is non-refundable.Your friend made their booking 3 months earlier than yourself and also on a semi flex rate which was non-refundable and that is why they paid a cheaper rate.
There's a restaurant on site. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. Public spaces have free WiFi. Free self parking is available. This 4-star Stafford inn is smoke free.
