Front staff are great.

The front of house staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby looks fantastic, but other areas look a little run down. (Especially the pool area)

Good night sleep just needs more tv chanels 😀

Stay was lovely very comfy beds , tv didn’t have many channels most didn’t work , shame we had too pay £10 for the pool it should be in with the price and breakfast was not disappointed no proper eggs only scrambled , no mushroom also

Could be so much better

Sadly over tired ex-Mercure property, running three rebrands, Oyo, Happy and Holland House. Windows don’t open, air conditioning faulty in many rooms, so oil filled radiators, coolers and fans in many rooms. Lots of brown wood. Staff helpful and working hard in a difficult environment.

Great night's sleep!

The hotel is in a great location and the parking in the basement is handy, but very expensive to use. The rooms are spacious and I had a great night's sleep in the lovely bed. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff were very helpful throughout. I'm still waiting on the VAT invoice for my stay which is the let down.

Great Spa and Hotel Rooms

Hotel room, swimming pool, lounge area - FAB-U-LOSA! Noticeable staff attitudes:- Floor Manager - kindly helpful, smiling. An asset to the Hotel. Waitress - not sure what mood she was in, but definitely was not focused on giving of her best. From the glasses to the plates - all slammed down hard on the table. I suffer PTSD and jumped each time. I also asked for hot sauce. Promised but never arrived. It made me decide to NOT go down for breakfast. Chef - or whoever cooked the fries and burger. First time I've been served a burger with no lettuce or tomato. Burger was also soggy. Chips were over cooked. I ended up giving most of my food to my friend.

Room was spacious with a lovely view from the large windows. However, the bed was really uncomfortable. The mattress dipped in the middle so had to sleep near edge of the bed. Buffet breakfast was just mediocre. The hotel is less than a 10 minute walk to the city centre with bus stops close by. Overall I had a pleasant stay and the staff were helpful.

Loved our stay

We travelled as a family. The room was big and bright. Very clean. Staff were great. Kids loved the pool,£10 for adults kids free. We ordered room service for dinner which was super fresh. Kids had dominions pizza which is right opposite. Breakfast was great and both kids ate for free.

Clean, comfortable hotel with a very nice bathroom

The room decor in this ex-Mercure hotel is a little bit tired but everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. The best thing by far was the bathroom, especially wonderful bathtub - a real treat.
