Stayed here for 3 nights while our daughter was competing at David Broome Equestrian Centre. Overpriced for very basic accommodation. There was no room service at all during our stay which I find unacceptable when paying £100 per night. Food was standard pub food
We stayed in a double room with en-suite breakfast was offered but refused as we had busy days
We returned to the hotel and had an evening meal they catered for our dietary restrictions
The food went down well with a pint of beer
The bed was comfortable and there was a micro fridge in the room
We stayed one night for a local concert at Caldicot Castle.
The owner/landlord is so friendly and welcoming (and the staff).
Great food at lunch - The steak and ale pie is excellent, as are the home cooked chips from locally sourced produce.
Lovely quiet, comfortable and clean room with mini fridge, kettle and coffee/tea available. Great breakfast.
Overall a really pleasant stay - Excellent.
The staff make this property all it is. This a small space, althought the restaurant compared to the 2 bar areas is surprisingly large and air conditioned which made all the difference on the heat-wave day that we visited.
This was simply a great Hotel/Inn to stay at. Staff were super friendly and nice, beds comfy, breakfast delicious and if you're a history nerd, it's right next to the Roman walls.
Would absolutely come here again.
Ample parking, 2 bars , breakfast room & an extra dining/private hire room. Very clear twin room with on-suite, TV & drink making facilities. Comfy beds & a fairly decent view out of the window..
Nice friendly pub. Room was basic but clean with a kettle and plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast was a bit disorganised as there was no menu as such and it was difficult to find out what was available. Good if you like a full English breakfast but otherwise poor.
The property and Caerwent were lovely. The staff was sweet and easy to talk with! Breakfast was excellent. Loved it here and it is close to many interesting sights!
An absolutely lovely place.
Wonderful, welcome from the friendly staff.
Made to feel like one of the locals.
Extremely clean, comfortable room, with all the facilities you need.
Lovely, well cooked breakfast.
I would certainly return, and recommend.
