Tides was just what we needed! It was enjoyable watching the surfers from our 4th floor oceanfront room. We liked having dinner available at Pinky's and especially since it was a rainy night. The beds were very comfortable. The only negative I would give is the condition of the bathroom and tub.. It needs to be spruced up and the crack in the tub repaired. I will definitely return in the future!!! Thanks to the very friendly staff!

The location is perfect but the noise is over the top. I was on the 4th floor, and tried going to bed around 10 but the following things happened, effectively ruining the stay. 1. I turned on the heat because it was a bit chilly but this resulted in a burnt smell coming out, which caused the smoke detector to go off. After opening the balcony, this rectified the issue. 2. About 15 min later there was a group cheering on the beach from a wedding party. No big deal, I get they were just having fun. 3. 2 drunk guys are yelling, and arguing outside of my room door, which took about 30 min for them to leave. 4. The room next door had music blasting and wouldn’t open the door for the front desk to turn it off. In the end I left and stayed on IoP. This has been the worst hotel experience I’ve had in a very long time. I would advise anyone to go elsewhere.

So we were there in October so it’s considered off season. The rooms were oceanfront which was nice. The rooms themselves were old but renovated so they looked like they had ten coats of paint on the walls, beds were pretty uncomfortable. Like how close it was to walk to everything like Rita’s for breakfast was awesome. The street is lined with shops.
