Lovely stay, only downside we didnt have any slippers in our room as was stated we would which would of been helpful when walking to the pool. Breakfast was lovely great choices.

Lovely hotel . Has potential to be outstanding. Our executive room was a dark room with one windo looking i to the Palm Court restaurant. The painist/singer played all day until 11pm, so relaxing in silence is not an option in room 3 . Staff was a mixed bag, hotel reception staff lovely, spa reception staff snobby and aloof! Nelson’s bar waiter kept ignoring us on the second night and when we asked for the desert menu he threw them at us! Car park was jam packed on friday when we arrived die to a wedding. Cars were parked on the main road. Pool and changing rooms are dated . Chinese garden is lovely but needs maintenance. We stayed 2 nights on a DBB basis in an executive room and booked 2 spa treatments.

Ok but could be so much better

The hotel is lovely and I would recommend to others but would offer some advice before going. I booked two nights over the weekend on a DBB basis and also booked two treatments at the Kasia Spa. I opted for the executive room. The car park was jam packed on the Friday evening when we arrived- there was a wedding on at The Grosvenor suite. Cars were parked on the main road due to the lack of space. We were allocated a room on the ground floor. Now, considering this was not the most basic room at the hotel, it was not executive. Only one windo in the room which was an internal window looking directly into the Palm Court restaurant. The tesident pianist played and sang from early afternoon all the way through to 11pm. We had to turn the tv volume up! The staff are a mixed bunch- some are extremely friendly and proffesional , whilst others are either not enjoying their nob or veloeve that they are above their role. Spa receptionists were awfully aloof, although Lucy who did my massage was really lovely. There is a shortage of efficient staff at The Nelson restaurant. We ate there both evenings - on the Saturday the me us were thrown on the table and the service was painfully slow. Swimming pool needs a bit of an update.

We could not recommend this hotel & spa more. It was exceptional from start to finish. Decor of the hotel was beautiful. Spa was fabulous and treatments were amazing. Loved the afternoon tea. Rooms were very clean and spacious. The food at Palm Court was exceptional.

Outstanding hotel in a beautiful and quaint hamlet. The food here is excellent; the Nelson is a great pub that always has great atmosphere, warm and brilliant food. The Palm Court is also unique setting with great atmosphere. The gym has modern equipment, enough to get the job done. The rooms are always immaculate and comfy. The hallways can be a little noisy when people passing through but never stopped me having a good overall experience. Easily the best hotel and experience in the area by far.

We stayed here as a family of 5 & the room was perfect for us. It’s very difficult to find hotels that can cater to a family of 5. The facilities were great & lots of added extras in the room. The restaurants are lovely & had a good selection of drinks & meal options. They are also beautifully decorated with added class. We only used the swimming pool once, as was a little small considering the size of the hotel. However, there are also lots of spa options if you fancy a treat. Overall we would stay again.
