Overall, we have a good stay. Lots of free on site parking. Check in was easy but the room was quite far with lots of up and down stairs). The room itself was fine, nice to have snacks. Could have been a bit cleaner and the TV was tiny. The bathroom was good but the shower screen is too small so water would drip outside of the bathtub onto the floor. Breakfast was generally good with a reasonable variety of options. We enjoyed the pool, steam, sauna and jacuzzi but were disappointed to find out that children's times are severely restricted (this is only mentioned in the small print on the website and in an email sent a few days prior to the visit which leaves no time to consider alternative options). There was a wedding daily at the hotel but this didn't impact us as weddings are hosted in another part of the hotel. Overall, a good stay but there were a few areas that could have been improved.

My partner and I stayed in the hotel for one night on Easter Sunday with dinner, bed and breakfast. The room was only the standard category, but was very spacious and had excellent amenities. The rainforest shower was particularly good. One thing I would say is the walls are quite thin so you can hear noises in adjoining rooms. The restaurant was very nice and on a Sunday evening they offer a carvery, with very few alternatives (on fish dish; two vegetarian) I really enjoyed the recovery, however, my partner would’ve liked to have had something from the normal menu. Breakfast was also excellent, although I do find it a bit of a liberty when a four star hotel, which is already charging premium prices, charges extra for non-buffet dishes (such as eggs Benedict) The pool and sauna area was excellent and I also used the gym which was very good. We particularly liked the outside garden area where you could sit after using the facilities, this is really nice when the sun is out. All in all, it was lovely and we will definitely stay at the hotel again when we are in the area.

Overnight Stay Half Board

Booked last minute for an impromptu birthday treat. Hotel were very accommodating, ensuring we got served food even though we arrived after last orders had been taken. Food arrived promptly and was delicious. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices in both the contintal and cooked options. The only downside was having to walk past toilets, which were really smelly, to get to and from our room. Smell had gone by morning after the cleaners arrived so didnt overly spoil an otherwise excellent stay.

A real treat !

After a warm welcome on reception, we went to our split level family room - it was spotlessly clean & luxurious. Fridge, coffee machine, massive bath & rain shower. We had breakfast in the exotic Palm Court Brasserie. Delicious & excellent service. There are specific times for children's swims in the pool, so check these on the website. We went for a swim after breakfast which was a great way to round off our stay ... only wish we were there longer ! Highly recommended !

Unable to use spa after check out time

Very clean, comfortable and pretty hotel. However we did not actually get to use the spa as its only accessible until you check out which was not clear on the hotel.com site nor were we informed about when we checked in. Very annoying as we'd planned in time for a swim after breakfast so worth baring in mind before booking.

Lovely and welcoming hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. If I am ever travelling near there again, I would definitely want to stay there again.

Nice nights stay

Great hotel 10 min from Chester centre friendly staff, good spa nice pool and sauna had dinner and breakfast both really good. Family room ideal only gripe would be the check in was spot on 3 o’clock had to wait a bit, did not put us off 2 adults 2 grandchildren would recommend
