Almost There

Pros: Gate staff were so helpful and knowledgeable about the local area.
Cons: Cleanliness and breakfast serving quantity, just too little and asking for more it seemed like we were putting the staff out.
Location: Night market, restaurants and the old city are all a short walk or tuk tuk ride away.
Ping Nakara is a pleasant hotel. It does try but doesnt quite get there for 5 stars. The location is excellent, most of the staff are very helpful although hard to find, as a Australian I'd have to say the staff's English is pretty good. The breakfast service wasn't generous to a western traveller, often my wife and I found ourselves hungry again by mid morning and the bathroom was mouldy in places around the shower and tub. 4 out of 5 and one of those stars is due to the very kind and helpful staff at the hotel gate who simply cannot do enough to assist, a pity a little more of that service ethos hasn't rubbed off on the house staff. If it does it will be a terrific hotel but for now it's a good one.

Facilities: Classical elegance; Value: Amazing; Service: Outstanding; Cleanliness: Pristine; Food and beverage prices fantastic value, I would not stay anywhere else in Chiang Mai, look no further than Pnig Nakara!
