Surprising resort behind shops off major road

Pros: just about everything
Cons: bed was a bit hard for wife
Location: walk to riverside. shuttle into town
Beautiful gardens and wonderful room. 2 pools and 2 restaurants. 10 mins to riverside restaurants. shuttle into old town.

Beautiful & peaceful hotel

Everything at Shewe Wana was just perfect for our stay. The staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The location is great, walking distance to the old city and close to several markets. Breakfast is also very good but we ate other meals out. We left for 2 days on a tour up north but booked back in because it is so peaceful, just like a little garden oasis in the city. Highly recommend this place.

Pros: Great friendly helpful staff, beautiful rooms, wonderful food and fab cafe next door.
Cons: It is very hot in April, (so the A/C was great).
Quite Close to Night Bazaar, and other local markets, you will need tuk tuk or taxi to get to the old city, but really easy to do.
