Staff very courteous, accommodations very nice. The restaurant in the lobby was supposed to be open until 10, but the one night I had to eat late, they closed at 9:50. It would have been a 5 star if they had someone at the front door to assist unloading, opening the door, etc.

Location it's the best from this hotel close to the Fulton Market. David in the restaurant area it's very friendly and makes you feel at home. Hotel staff in general are very nice.

Was initially booked into a room that should be pulled from rotation until fixed: heavy damage to bed and furnishings, lingering smoke and chemical air freshener. To their credit, staff were very responsive and helpful and moved me to another room and comped breakfast. High marks to all staff, from front desk to housekeeping to restaurant team. But overall hotel is pretty threadbare, carpets and wallpaper are in poor condition, heater in second room didnt work and there was no heater in bathroom (cold start to a december morning), plumbing / water pressure poor, half the equipment in gym is broken (in the case of rower, dangerously so). The rates were low, for a reason. Not a terrible stay but wouldnt do it again. Excellent staff was the saving grace.
