The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a room that had a shared bathroom. We didn’t have any issues having to wait for the bathroom or shower. It was always available when we needed it. I would stay here again. I highly recommend it!

Great stay

Loved our stay here - we only had one Sunday night here, but Hotel Franziskaner was very welcoming. Our room was light, overlooked the main street, had plenty of space & a comfy bed. We ate in the restaurant - delicious food and great friendly service. Would love to stay here again.

Danielle was wonderful she checked us in and gave recommendations. Unfortunately there was no lift and we were on the second floor in our bags weren't light. But the room was clean and the location was fantastic easy to get around. Breakfast was included and was very good. We ate at the restaurant for dinner at the hotel and it was fabulous. Danielle also serviced us that evening, she was fantastic!

We had a large room with a private bathroom. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and the breakfast was great. Only one complaint - we tried to eat in the restaurant and the waiter with the beard completely ignored us. We eventually had to ask his female colleague to get his attention, and when he did deign to serve us, he was clearly unhappy about it. He continued to ignore us and eventually we had to go inside to pay the bill as he ignored us when we asked for it. He was happy and joking with other customers and we have to wonder if he had a problem with my wife being the only Indian person there.

We stayed at hotel Franziskaner on the way from Zermatt to Tirano via the Glacier express and Bernina express. Chur is a nice quiet town, the hotel greeting was nice and friendly. The rooms were very tidy and we had a nice breakfast before setting off on our travels again. Overall it was a good place to spend the night and reasonably priced.

Very bad customer services. One bathroom for 7 rooms and doesn’t have elevators . We are tourist in take 50 pounds laggage was terrible for me and my parents … rooms very small, not air condition. Its was terrible !

To start, we were arriving a little bit late due to flight delays and the hostess kindly waited past closing time to make sure we got in! She was lovely. The property was clean and quaint. Cozy little room with two twin beds and a sink, all we needed. Shared bathrooms for the entire floor wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. We loved that the restaurant was downstairs with breakfast included. The hotel was in the heart of old town so we barely left that area! So cute to explore all the little shops and restaurants around there.

It's a very old building in Old Town, not far from the train station. Everyone there was very kind but when we checked in but only the top floor room was available (5 stories and no elevator). The stairway was dark and although I'm in pretty good shape it was a real struggle to get our two suitcases up there. My 80 year old mother had a real hard time but she made it! The shared bathroom was clean and right down the hall, but upon check-in I was told that our shower was 4 floors down .....why?? Even though we were hot, sweaty and exhausted we skipped the showers and tried to sleep. There was one window (with no screen) in the room but no cross breeze unless we left the front door open which we didn't feel safe doing after dark. The room was clean but hot, humid and stuffy and live music was playing in the courtyard until at least midnight even with earplugs in it was pretty loud. Luckily we only stayed one night between trains, I knew it wasn't a posh place but it was a bit more rustic and challenging than I bargained for. Everyone working there was very nice and kind it's just a very old cramped building.
