Smooth and comfortable

My stay was really solid, I got the King bed with the fireplace, it felt like a small apartment and was clean and quiet, did not see anything out of the ordinary which was nice because I'm picky about my rooms due to some bad experiences before with other stays elsewhere. I would say the only downside was some of the other guests I believe had been smoking some herb nearby on the ground floor,but it didn't follow into our room or anything so it wasn't too much of a problem.

Room was good, not great; rest was questionable

We booked Sonesta ES Suites Cincinnatti - Sharonville East because it was supposedly a 3-star hotel with 8.2 positive ratings out of over 1,000 reviews. The room itself was really good: decent kitchenette, hard floors (no carpet), comfortable bed. The rest was a bit questionable: could hear guests in hallway and other rooms through the walls, hot water was unreliable, common areas were dated and dirty, and breakfast was disappointing. We stayed 2-nights but did not spent much time on property, so we did not raise any concerns to the staff.

Location was great. Room did not have carpet that was strange. Had a first floor room and in the hallway a women was allowing her two cats to roam in it. I believe people are living at this location like an extended stay. Also the people above us were loud and walking heavy on the floor. So it was not quiet. I recommend getting a top floor. Also used the ice maker in the refrigerator and the ice tasted like chlorine. Overall the room was a great size and the bed was comfortable.

I did not feel safe in this area. The hotel is old and run down. It was clean enough. No bugs. This is not a place I will visit again. Being by the convention center I feel like they should update their welcome area, carpets are worn and well worn. A little updating, rip out the carpet. It’s too hard to keep clean. Looks like it’s stuck in the 70s.

Unfortunately there was no hot water in the morning when we left. The front desk was apologetic. It was 6am so we weren’t about to move rooms just for a shower. Other than that it was great for the price
