Appalling. DO NOT STAY here. Cashing in on ANuga bedrooms are disgusting dirty blood on walls. No lift. No apology. Booked 2 double rooms and were given 2 single rooms. Waiting for a response from manager but nothing. Threadbare carpets. Toilet in the shower. No space to swing a cat. Disgusting.

Great staff. Easy walk to cathedral and station. Room was super-small/cramped. I don’t care that it’s dated, but everything seemed thoroughly beat up. Bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom was moldy, shower head was broken. Hard to recommend.

The property is much in need of refurbishment. The rooms are dated, unclean, falling apart and have minimal ventilation.

Reasonable price for the central location. Towels changed every day and housekeeping kept room in good order and topped us up. Helpful and friendly staff. Issue with shower was quickly resolved. Plenty of places to eat within a very short distance & supermarkets close by.

If you want a basic short term stay this hotel is ideal because it is a short walk to the Cathedral and river. Alan the duty manager was very obliging and only too eager to help. Our room was very small with nowhere to store suitcases, but it was very clean and suited our purpose. The breakfast area was immaculate and the food presentation was very good with plenty on offer. We would stay there again.

Hotel staff was good ,but room was just ok room needs some maintenance and attention blinds were broke so let light in and some black spots on ceilings (mold?I think) but you get what you pay for and it’s close to train and shopping area ! I would not return

I loved staying here. Look, the rooms are old, a bit tired, but perfectly fine if you're the type of traveller like me who mainly just wants a decent bed and somewhere to shove their suitcase during the day. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The breakfast was great. You can't really ask better for location either - walking distance to almost everything, and easy public transport access.

Good stay for layover but..

The way to the hotel was not too long of a walk from Köln Hbf but since the streets are doing renovations, you have to walk around to a nearby street. Also the hotel was two annex, main one and the other one located on a map shown in the main office, look at your key room # and see which building you’re in… room was clean but whats up with the Curtains??? I feel like people can peek in and also no soundproof walls? I can hear others clearly talking and door shutting across the hallway… The shower and bathroom door does not fit… make it a slide in door so you don’t obstruct the toilet but I bet thats because of German building code??? yeah not a great feature… also no tables and no amenities in the room (no hot water boiler, etc.) Great thing is even if you forget to tell them ahead of time that you’ll be late for check-in (cell signal was bad for me and DB always ruining plans), they will put your keys in a lockbox outside and the code is sent to you separately before arriving… really nice! also if you need to leave the hotel early morning too that day before the main office opens, just put the keys back in the lockbox and reset number and your good to go
