Definitely exceeded what I was expecting! The gentleman at check in was so friendly and checked us in early, even though the room wasn’t ready. He filled everything out so we could just come and get our key at check in time. He provided us with great recommendations on where to park in Cooperstown and multiple different places to eat. Decor is a bit dated but the room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet, which is really all that matters! The beach was clean and the water was clear of any lake weeds or algae. Only downfall was parking for the actual motel (not cottages). The spaces are tight to maneuver in and very limited. Nothing really that you could change w parking though based on the terrain and layout of the resort. Bayside was a pleasant surprise and I would recommend it to anyone! My teenage daughter was concerned when she initially heard the word “motel”, initially saying it would be “sketch” but after we arrived she changed her tune quickly, agreeing as well that she would stay here again for sure!

We stayed here during our Cooperstown visit. It was about 20 minutes from the Dream Park but it was clean, and very quiet. We enjoyed looking at the lake after a long day.

Instant 1960s - it reminded me of the motels my family stayed at when we went on driving vacations. A bunch of numbered rooms lined up along a parking lot - not much to look at. My room at the Bayside Inn had some of the features that are standard in modern motels - a flat screen HDTV with a good choice of channels, a mini-fridge, a microwave, liquid soaps, and queen beds instead of doubles. But the front desk closes at 8, and there is no food, no breakfast, and nowhere to eat within 5 mils of the motel. They promote the beach and the marina, but the signage at the bottom of the hill says that Bayside guests cannot go beyond a certain point, and that point is before you get to the beach or marina. I could manage with all of that, but the price was ridiculously high, almost as much as I paid in NYC Times Square the previous night and almost double what I paid for a very nice and very similar room in a Super 8 in Syracuse the following night. If the price at the Bayside were below $150, I would rate it higher, but with a price above $220, then it must be compared with others in that price range, and simply doesn't measure up.

I don’t know where to start first of all the place took nothing like the pictures. This place should be torn down and rebuilt, including the staff and maybe the owner. The lady is a complete. You know what when it comes to service. She needs some real training, her customer service skills are way behind and surely outdated When you’re paying over $1000 for a room there shouldn’t be a question about service. This is the hotel business. We don’t run on your time we run on our time specially when you’re there for baseball, they should be more upfront and they should work on their skills For treating customers that spend a lot of money and that have money with respect. Do not stay here. Do not waste your money here go up the street to OT saga for a couple more hundred dollars.

Everything about this property was perfect. The scenic view from our room was beautiful. The room was modern and in excellent condition. We booked our stay for a family wedding in a venue in the nearby town of Jordanville, and it was a convenient distance while allowing us to enjoy the beauty of Cooperstown. The staff was friendly and helpful. When we asked for suggestions of places to eat the recommendations by the front desk staff were perfect. The little beach area with chairs was appreciated by my husband and I for some quiet reflection time and to soak in all the beautiful scenery.
