We've visited 10+ all-inclusives in the area and this was a well-rounded resort for all age groups. We visited as a family of 5 (2 rooms). There were five pools (two swim-up pool bars, activity pool, and two more quiet pools), beautiful large beach and a large adult water slide. The resort grounds were beautiful and well-kept. The downside was the food was below par compared to many other resorts we've been to. We did like that they don't require reservations at their restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to book as a family for 4-5 nights - anything more and the below par food would grow tiring.

The property was great but the food and drinks were subpar. Alcohol was extremely limited in anything top shelf or even mid shelf. Drinks were very artificial tasting due to lack of quality ingredients. The buffet was one of the best I've seen at an all inclusive but the specialty dining was the worst. Their menus were very limited and the food was subpar. The beds were also very, very hard.

Amazing resort, great buffets and clean facility. Really enjoyed the beach, pools and food. Only annoying thing is at night the sports bar has pre made food unlike other resorts I’ve been to, so on our first night we got to the hotel at 10:30 and had to eat from there - not the best first day experience but we woke up to an amazing buffet which continued until the end of our stay. Would be great if they had more parties on site I.e beach parties etc.

This is a very nice resort. Rooms were updated and clean, food was great with lots of variety. Beach was beautiful, nothing but white sand. Multiple pools so you can choose your vibe. Party, Drink or Chill. Friendly staff. Overall a fun relaxing week.

The only drawback was the smoking section It felt like you were an outcast in quarantine It should have a pavilion with chairs and tables like the rest if the resort 20% of the guests were smokers and we all felt the same way

The rooms are new and nice and the air conditioning works very well and the showers are clean and spacious

I stayed at this resort for 3 nights with my girlfriends and sister. The beach and pools were great, really clean and well taken care of. The staff were pretty great, they were attentive to our needs. The housekeeping staff even left cute surprises in our room each day in the form of towel animals and figurines. However, the waitress/waiters in the buffet area were pretty aggressive to get to the groups of people entering the dining area. I understand that most of their earnings come from tips, but it was still a bit off coming. Once they realized we tipped with every meal, it became worse. I would rate the food here a 2/5 stars. Most of the options at the buffet and even the dinner restaurants were not seasoned well; it was either too salty or bland. The food was mediocre and very much geared towards American taste buds. I know it is hard to make such large portions to everyone's liking, but I stayed at Riu Palace Las Americas in Cancun my last trip and the dinner options were much better. The dinner options at Las Americas made me want to go back to Riu but this time we were left disappointed. For an adults only resort, there weren’t much night activities on the resort itself unless you are into clubbing (don’t expect any fire shows or spectacular performances). The activities bulletin and info center is only available in the hotel lobby monitor. For a resort of this size, they should make it more accessible and available throughout the property.

From the moment we arrived, riu delivered an exceptional experience. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel cared for from check-in to check-out. Every interaction reflected professionalism and kindness. The room was clean and comfortable and the amenities were great as well. There were plenty of food and drink options as well. Definitely recommend!
