We had a great time at El CID La Ceiba. The staff really make this place wonderful. Everyone we encountered was friendly and had a big smile on their face. The rooms are a little dated but they were clean and that’s all I really care about.

Our sole purpose is scuba diving. We enjoy staying at El Cid/La Ceiba as the property is always clean and the staff are always welcoming and warm.

Good experience. The "All Inclusive" food offering was decent. Staff were very good. Room was not fancy, but clean and nice enough. Only one pool and fairly small. We mainly use the hotel for a place to eat and sleep while not scuba diving and it worked for that.

We had a really good time, room was nice and spacious and bed was comfy with great working AC (we have stayed at several other resorts and this seems to be a struggle). We scuba dive and the dive shop was right there and they were so helpful. Food was really good and the menu had a lot of options. I wish there was more things to do in the evening at the resort. Once the ships leave everything around there shuts down.

Highly recommend getting a massage while on property. Staff was very nice and attentive. Food was good with plenty of options despite only having one restaurant available. Furniture in room was outdated but functional. Great stay and of course, the views and accessibility to the water was fantastic!

Wonderful hotel, with the staff making it that way. The food is excellent, both the choices and the quality. All the employees are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are the best, with cold AC, hot water in the shower, and always clean.

The El Cid was a wonderful place to stay. The hotel is clean with friendly staff. It has an on site dive shop. You can snorkel or dive at their beach. There is daily entertainment. The buffet offers many choices or order from their menu. I do not recommend purchasing a shared taxi as part of your travel package. There are plenty of taxi's at the airport and hotel that are easy to get for $20.

We had a great two days here, the staff is amazing and so nice, they were very considerate. Erika, Saul, and Christian were especially nice and went out of their way to help us. Erika made my partners birthday more special with some wine sent to the room and all the food we had at dinner was great as well, some of the best AI food (from the menu, we didn’t try the buffet). Shout out to the diving shop at the resort too, they squeezed in a dive for us and Gregory and the shop owner helped us out both days a lot, it was an amazing dive. My only con is that there were a LOT of flies by the bar and while we would eat, probably a drainage issue, but that’s it! Would absolutely stay again

The cruise ships are ruining El Cid. We love this place but the cruise ships run the smog the whole time they are in port. So sad for this wonderful hotel.
