We had a wonderful stay at Silk Sense which is a beautiful resort with friendly staff, and a sustainable philosophy as well. Our room 409 was spacious and clean, with a balcony view of the river. My partner is gluten free and vegetarian, and initially we had an issue with their menu which showed a dish as being gluten free but it wasn't. After flagging this with management, they rectified it the next day by ensuring there were gf breakfast options throughout our stay, including gf bread and treats. The location is peaceful, 15 minutes away from the chaos of Hoi An old town. Other features: - large pool with pool-side service - daily complimentary purified bottled water - gluten free specific menu - free shuttle bus into Hoi An old town and nearby beach - free bicicyle use and helmet - free activites such as pottery A special mention: Thuy the manager was very helpful and friendly, she provided advice about activites as well as helped with the gluten free menu.

We had a fabulous time in Vietnam but Hoi An was definitely the highlight. We were concerned that we should have stayed in town but with Grab taxis costing 5 GBP we realised we made an excellent choice. Lounged by the pool, visited their beach resort, had great breakfasts and used the free shuttle to the fullest extent. After 4 days we said a tearful goodbye to the wonderful receptionist/staff member, Ly who has one of the loveliest smiles! Thoroughly recommend the Silk Sense for all of the above reasons.

We had such a great stay at silk sense, the hospitality was amazing, staff went out of there way to learn our names and help us with anything they could. Nothing was too much trouble! Particular shout outs to Hung and Ly who were just so lovely and made our stay extra special. The pool was big and great for all the family. So glad we stayed a little way out of town with the kids, free shuttle buses were plentiful. Breakfast was amazing. Family room was spacious with privacy for Mum and Dad, beds were super comfy

Outstanding customer service

Outstanding service from spa reception bar and restaurant staff. We had an issue with the affiliated travel operator for snorkelling and scuba diving experience (misleading and terrible overall) and the front staff and assistant manager took time to listen to our feedback, understand the issue and help us provide a solution. We stayed at Silk sense for a week with our 20-month-old. The setting is quiet and pleasant, and staff were consistently kind and helpful. However, safety and problem-solving fell short for a 5-star hotel. On arrival we found our room had a raised platform and stairs—information not disclosed at booking and unsuitable with a toddler. After the first night the baby cot broke, waking our daughter; we later saw four exposed, rusty screws. The replacement arrived without a mattress (a folded comforter was used), and when we asked again we were told no proper cot was available. The hotel then bought a newborn cot with sides only ~50 cm high—easy to climb out of—especially risky with stairs in the room. We changed to a room without stairs, but it was a clear downgrade from what we booked. At checkout, no goodwill gesture was offered until we asked; we received ~€10 off consumables and an airport transfer that was already included via Expedia. Disappointing overall.

If i could give this place 6 stars i would. everything about it was perfect, from the amazing staff who are a credit to this resort, to the free bicycle hire that a short cycle trip shows you the beauty of the country.

One of the best possible hotel stays I've had. Staff consistently went above and beyond to deliver excellent service and hospitality. Location is perfect, between river and beach away from the noise of town. Easy transport options with shuttle bus, or taxis/grab. Breakfast was always an abundance and room was always well stocked with tea, coffee, snacks and water. Excellent amenities, cleanliness, and couldn't recommend more.

Quiet oasis

Beautiful quiet oasis that provided a great escape from the bustling city of Danang. Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Rooms are expansive and a wonderful environment.

Lovely staff and lovely hotel. 15 minute taxi out of Old Town, and Grabs are easy to get. Shower over bath was difficult to use but we made do. Hotel is very eco friendly. The snacks they provide are a nice touch. Lots of activities provided by the hotel. Breakfast was okay - eggs made to order and coffee were great. Rooms immaculately clean. Would be a lovely place to enjoy the pool, but we came in the wrong season.

Such a lovely resort. Vu the man at reception who helped us with our bags, made our stay very personal by memorising our names. The only downside of our stay was when a company held a gala at the hotel and all the attendees were very loud, obnoxious and rude. The loud music was blaring across the pool and then all the attendees flooded into the pool area and it became very busy. We saw attendees spitting and blowing their nose in the pool, which was quite unappealing. The hotel staff just watched on and did not calm the noise or behaviour. This was unfortunate as we planned to have a pool day which was unexpectedly ruined. In the future I think the hotel would benefit from informing their guests when such corporate events will be happening and they tend to take over the hotel and make facilities unusable for other guests. Apart from that we had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend.

This a perfect place to stay when visiting Hoi An. the service was attentive, friendly and flexible. The location is quiet and peaceful. The pool was a delight to spend time in and around. athe restaurant was superb, professionally run and offered a diverse range of delicious vietnamese and non vietnamese meals. The breakfast included lots of different delights, with a good level of day to day variety. The shuttle to the old town made accessing the main attractions of Hoi An and all the restaurants easy. But one could always take a taxi, grab or even rent a scooter (highly recommended for those that have the coordination and courage). Would recommend this resort highly.

An absolutely incredible hotel nestled just off the beach, the Silk Sense resort is an ideal luxury resort just north of Hoi An. Featuring immaculate service where nothing is too much trouble, staff will make you feel incredibly welcomed and provide whatever is needed. We stayed in a River View Suite with a Private Pool, which was spread over two floors and featured a small plunge pool in the back garden to cool off in. Rooms are finished off very nicely with all necessary amenities. Our stay included breakfast which featured a vast, high quality selection. The hotel provided an hourly free shuttle to and from downtown Hoi An which made getting around incredible easy. The sheer number of free activities put on by the hotel meant you didn’t have to stray too far if you wanted to be entertained. The hotel also helped arrange paid for activities and access to nearby attractions, which was very helpful. The Silk Sense is very good value, with an exceptional nightly rate, amazing staff and service and fantastic amenities. Could not recommend highly enough.

My wife and I stayed here for one week in August 2023. The biggest takeaway about our stay at Silk Sense was the incredible customer service. I particularly want to thank the restaurant manager Thuy. Her level of service is world class. We spent most of our time relaxing by the pool. The pool area is relaxing and quiet. We stayed in the King Suite with a river view. The size of the two-story room was impressive. It was perfect for a couple. We took advantage of the breakfast buffet every morning. There is cuisine from both eastern and western culture also with a ton of fresh fruit. And, of course, Vietnamese coffee! I would highly recommend staying here. We look forward to returning next summer!

Very nice facilities and excellent service. Staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and interesting. Day tout to My Son was incredible. Food was also great. Everything was fresh, organic and well presented. Highly recommended.
