AC in room was very weak. Pool had way too much chlorine that it caused my kids to have a hard time breathing in the pool area. Hotel is new and room is very clean and comfortable. Easy location to get downtown or across the bridge to Halifax. My kids enjoyed the slide in the pool area for the time they were able to tolerate it.

The hotel was, as I've encountered with all the Sandman Hotels, in excellent shape. The room was great, spotless and well set up. The staff were customer focused and very welcoming. I HIGHLY recommend this chain.

Wonderful hotel

This is a wonderful hotel. The decor is beautiful, the room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location was great. We had dinner one night in Bar One and it was excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

Hotel is new and very nice. There was glitch at check in, the room they gave me wasn’t cleaned yet so I returned the keys to the desk and they assigned me another room. All was well with the 2nd room. The pool and water slide area was great but should probably have a hotel employee stationed there as the youth sports teams were pretty wild and loud in the pool. The hotel was very busy with youth sports teams (more than 100 youth) who were running around the halls, blocking access to elevators, and screaming and yelling. I have younger children and the F bombs and general unruly behaviour by packs of teenagers wasn’t a good example for them on how to behave in public let alone at a hotel with paying guests. No parents parenting and no coaches managing the behaviour. They were all sitting in the lobby on their devices. The hotel didn’t seem to be equipped to handle them in so far as their behaviour impacting other guests. I would stay here again and hopefully there won’t be all the kids.

This is a wonderful hotel and highly recommend. It was very unfortunate that there were teenage sports teams at the hotel whose behaviour was rather undesirable. (Screaming F bombs in the hallway, ripping beds apart and chasing one another through the halls). Seemed like reliving a university/college dorm. Disappointing that the adults didn’t step up with proper supervision of their children. It was nice that the staff put us as far away as possible at the end of the hall.

The garbages outside were over flowing. There was no paper towel in the pool washroom/shower rooms. There is no common area washroom. You have to go to the Denny’s or the pool.
