I liked that a fridge and microwave were available. Also proximity to Denali Village. I didn't like the bed linen. For the expensive price charged, the bedsheets and underblanket were synthetic/polyester fabric which doesn't allow the skin to breathe. I found myself regularly waking up at night in sweat because of the linen so I wouldn't say it was a comfortable sleep. The very least provide poly/cotton sheets if not 100% cotton. whilst room was confortable and spacious I still consider the price excessive for amenities provided.

Denali Rainbow Village was a pleasant place to stay and was centrally placed for restaurants, shops and activities. The room was comfortable with plenty of space. However, there were stairs (and no elevator) so we had to carry our suitcases up to our room.

Our room was warm. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. Good location. It just wasn’t the sort of room you’d want to spend too much time in. And the price was about 3 times more than you’d pay anywhere else for that type of accommodation but Denali is expensive. We accepted all its pros and cons. We were there to explore Denali not to spend too much time in our room.

Good Base for Budget Conscious

We had to remind ourselves we were in Denali and prices for accommodation are higher. Once we got there (the shuttle driver forgot to come to the train) we found food, tour and souvenir shops all around us. The room we had was very clean (cleaners were excellent) and bed really comfortable but it lacked seating and didn't have block out curtains needed by southerners. You can get a free shuttle to the national park every 30 minutes from across the road at the Denali Princess Lodge...is for their guests we presume but no issues.
