The staff here were sooo friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Love that they have cookies at the end of the day! The actual hotel could use some love though. We stayed in room 1253 and the way they built the walls was so noticeably tilted that we felt dizzy the entire time in the room. I was crazy enough to use the level on my phone it was a whole 6° off, for comparison the Leaning Tower of Pisa is 3.97°! The mattress was an absolute crater to the point where my friend and I used it to keep her toddler contained while we got ready in the AM because we knew it would take her long enough to climb out for us to get to her. Lovely people, mediocre grounds.

The Magnolia Hotel is precisely the type of hotel I seek when I travel: Ambiance of a vintage hotel with character: wide halls, calming architectural details, thick walls, wide halls....and grace. Impeccably clean throughout. Rooms thoughtfully appointed for comfort without extraneous decor elements that sometimes clutter. A large desk and well placed electrical plugs for the business traveler. A closet safe. Ample sturdy hangers. Comfy bed. Cuddly bathrobe. Staff attentive. Freshly baked cookies served in the lobby at 8. Quiet!!!!!! Restaurant and bar on premises. I ate dinner there with drinks -- creative menu, reasonably priced, good food. A morning/lunch coffee shop next door - unaffiliated - excellent. RTD bus and light rail stops surrounds hotel. Close to large numbers of restaurants and stores. An excellent choice for the solo woman traveler (me) and the diversified couples and families I encountered. Strongly recommend.

It was a good stay. Bar and dining areas were a little confusing and we felt rushed when we ordered 30 minutes before closing. Breakfast was great. Not having bathrooms on the same level was challenging for my elderly mother.

My husband and I had stayed 2 nights and decided to stay another night. But I lost my ID during my stay there and since I accidentally put the room in my name they would check us in. Even though the other workers knew us I even offered to show me my Social security card and the debit cards in purse and the lady said nope. . I ended up switching it my husband's name through Expedia. The said it did not change on her side even though I got a receipt and email showing it was changed through Expedia. Thank God we had the $ and if nothing else we could go home. Would've really sucked if we were from out of state and would've been stranded and/or had to sleep outside

Location is great. We ended up in a room that overlooked the street, and was therefore a little noisy. It didn't look much like the pictures I recall seeing, but it wasn't at all bad. Good shower, bathtub, comfortable bed. Kitchen and bar on-site. Plenty to do nearby. Park yourself next door and save a few bucks.
