This place is clean, quiet, modern, and comfortable with the added bonus of being affordable. Whenever my wife and I visit the Des Moines area, we stay here. Lots of great restaurants nearby, theaters, shopping, and other entertainment.

Ok on initial look

Hotel Rooms looked good when you first arrived, however after looking around, we found issues with mold, carpet coming undone, paint chipping and water damage.

Clean but needs building maintenance

Room was clean for the most part. Bedding had stains. Shower was rusted and some furniture shows wear and tear. Large hole in the wall outside our room in the hallway, it was the size of a fist but likely from a door knob. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. Could hear the person above us walking back and forth late into the night and middle of the night and early morning.

We ended up with a habicap room and we are not handicapped. The tv did not work! And there was mold in the roll in shower and towels where only given for one person. The front desk said they couldn't do anything for us., even though we called a head twice! Worst Marriott we have stayed at.
