We had our small micro-wedding here and the property itself was great. Pool and hot tub were very nice and each room was spacious and clean. Outdoor spaces were beautiful!The setup is very unique; a hotel with 5 rooms and a main house with 3 additional rooms.This place has its quirks, rooms 12 and 34 are conjoined by small hallways that do not lock on the room side. Because of this, whoever is staying in room 1 could theoretically just walk into room 2. Rooms 12 and rooms 34 each have a differing sets of keypad locks (didn’t work) room 3 4 also did not lock from the outside so anybody could walk into the rooms if not locked from the inside. While room 5 only opened with a key.Two of the 3 rooms in the main house also did not have locks on the doors. Big on the honor system here.The only real negative was check in/communication. Upon arriving, we got the room codes and nearly every Code was incorrect, so there were rooms we could not get in. After contacting the host through chat, they provided backup codes, which opened rooms 12. (34 never locked so they were always open)Then the Vrbo app had gone down for about an hour or two so we did not have access to the correct codes and upon calling the host, we were passed around to too many service reps (had no answers) instead of a singular property manager who could answer our questions. Would be helpful to have single point of contact. Gym gear was broken too.After that trouble though, it was smooth sailing!

Overall, we had a really good time. The rooms were spacious and it was great to have king sized beds and ensuites in 7 of the rooms. There was lots of room to prep food in the kitchen and to hang out outside. The property has been renovated but it still needs some work. One of the suite had a broken lock, a few of the high top patio chairs are broken, the patio cushions are stained and the BBQs don’t work very well. The pictures of the gym look nice but many of the weights are missing. Inside the common area is nice but seating is very limited.

The view of the mountains is beautiful and it’s a fun house that can fit a ton of people. But if you’re looking for a nice rental and not a party pad, there are probably better options out there. Check in was really difficult. The keypad information I was sent was incorrect. The "contact host" number listed in VRBO was incorrect. Most of the keypad combos didn’t work. Some of the lockbox combos didn’t work. Some of the lockboxes had keys that didn’t fit the door. This was the dirtiest vacation rental experience we’ve ever had. The fridge had been cleared but not wiped down so there was food splatter. Unwiped surfaces in bathrooms. We found wet dirty toilet paper clinging to a floorboard. There was a broken couch sitting in the middle of a patio. A detached screen door leaning on a wall in the patio. Half of the lawn chairs were broken. A bathroom mirror that had fallen off the wall was leaning on its side. I opened a cabinet looking for board games and the door came right off in my hand. The sliding door to the main house was missing a lock. I reached out multiple times about it and got responses that sounded like a bot. We finally ended up using a broomstick to secure the door at night. Communication with Apek Rental was automated and got really frustrating. We paid to have the pool heated using links in VRBO, but the pool person said they had never received a message about turning on the heat from VRBO, so the pool heated a full day later than expected.

Lies, finger pointing, dangerous tripping hazards, pool and spa problems

I booked this property five months in advance. There was an extra fee of 600 charged when I reserved it, and I asked what it was. Apek Rentals told me it was a refundable security deposit. It turns out, it was not, it's an extra VRBO fee. There are numerous blind steps throughout the property that we kept falling on. This was particularly alarming when my 81 year old father took a pretty hard fall. We paid for the pool to be heated upon arrival, and it was freezing. We had problems with the jacuzzi the entire time. It would spontaneously lower the temperature, as well as drain, then spontaneously re-fill. Multiple drains on the property were very slow, and one of the locks for the doors was broken, so we had to enter through an adjoining room. And 40 minutes before checkout, the adjoining room key pad locked us out. I would NOT recommend a property managed by APEK Rentals.

Great property and staff. Please note that the first key has the keys to the deadbolts. First keypad had issues, but you can use the manual keys. Second deadbolt wouldnt open, so we went in through the first room adjoing area. You should be fine after that. that

Great deal on a good property!

Booked this space for my husbands 30th birthday with friends, it was a nice space! The amenities weren’t as much as we had hoped, but the space and the rooms were nice. The beds weren’t super comfortable, and some things needed fixing, but they were great and super responsive!

Great Desert Sanctuary

Our stay at the Yucca Hotel Villa was absolutely perfect for our family getaway. The property was even more spacious than we expected and matched the photos perfectly. With a group of 16, we found there was plenty of room for everyone. All the rooms were clean and roomy, and the fully stocked kitchen and large living room in the main house comfortably accommodated the entire group for meals and entertainment. The highlight of the property was definitely the pool and BBQ area. The pool was a refreshing escape from the desert heat, and the BBQ space was large enough to prepare and serve everything we brought. Check-in was a breeze, although we did have a minor hiccup initially when the keys weren't in the original lockbox. However, APEK Rentals was incredibly responsive and quickly helped us resolve the issue. We also encountered a couple of minor problems—one of the AC units leaked, and a lock on one of the outside rooms wasn’t working. Despite these small issues, the overall experience was fantastic, and APEK's excellent communication more than made up for any inconvenience. Our family will definitely return to this wonderful place, and we highly recommend the Yucca Hotel Villa for any large group looking for an amazing getaway.
