Gorgeous property with friendly people. I would not say its an easy fast walk to town but it is lovely and seems safe. Staying in a castle is definitely a unique experience and this was also quite affordable on a weeknight! A lovely place to stay.

Easy check in/ check out. Free parking- easily accessible. Such a nice place to stay! We’re only there for one night, wish it was longer. The castle is so beautiful and the rooms were so comfy!

Not a 4 star hotel nice location out of the city but the bar was was always dirty don’t think they ever wipe down the tables. The breakfast was great however as were the staff in that restaurant very clean and very attentive. When they did manage to “clean” the room that was just them making the beds the shower still had hair in it and you could tell nothing was wiped down. Food was good but would not stay again I expected more for that price!

Unfortunately the Castle was hosting a couple of large events while we stayed there which was quite loud. We were unable to enjoy some of the beautiful sitting areas as they were overrun with over 350 guests. The staff was courteous and apologetic, but it was beyond their control. They did try to make amendments however their ability was limited. The Castle itself, is outstanding, sadly we booked on the wrong weekend!

We had a great girls getaway there. Everything was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend! The bed sleeping pillows were hard and very uncomfortable. They sent us up feather pillows that were no better. Invest in soft down pillows, to give guests a good night sleep.

An Elegant and Relaxing Getaway

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. Knights Bar is a great place to start your day with coffee and a scone and end the day with a cocktail and dinner. It's an easy walk to the bus stop to go into City Center or to St Anne's Park.
