Hot hot hot

We had a two day getaway in Dublin but unfortunately between the jet lag and the room it wasn't what we had hoped for! First off, the staff were great, friendly, helpful and just all round good to deal with. Location is decent enough, the room while being a bit small was cozy, clean, bit tight for suitcases and getting to the safe and coffee maker. Spacious bathroom and shower, no mini fridge unfortunately! The not so good now! Room 1111 is located right by the kitchen vent/fan so if you want to open the window (no view, just roof etc) expect to smell the kitchen below, and they open only a little bit. So you ask why did you want to open the window!? We were absolutely roasting inside the room for 2-1/2 days, no A/C only heat. We couldn't stand it anymore and asked if they had any fans which they did but didn't throw nearly enough air at us. We would come back again but only if guaranteed there would be a room that wasn't sweltering hot! This was September with outside temps 17-18 Celsius and mostly cloudy! We can't imagine how the middle of summer in high 20s, low 30s would be in this particular room! Too bad

A great location for a weekend break in Dublin. Gorgeous rooms. Hearty breakfast. Only niggle - the bedrooms were far too hot without the heating on and there was no air con. Our rooms overlooked a large exterior ‘fan’ system so it was incredibly noisy with the windows open. That was disappointing.

The hotel is wonderful. 15 min walk to most attractions. There are several night clubs on the same block. We've tried Dicey's Garden on a Saturday night and had a blast. An awesome not-too-expensive Michelin-guide restaurant is nearby: Richmond. Lots of places with live music within couple of blocks. It was a perfect place to retire to after walking all day. Highly recommended.

Great location just down street from tram that gets you just about anywhere you want to go in Dublin for $2, incl. to train station to get you north or south or west as well. Close to restaurants and shopping. Great street performers every night just around the corner need St Stephen’s green, which was an awesome park!

Liked: location, close to the green, college. Very quiet street. The bed comfortable and breakfast was very good. Cons: The plumbing in the bathroom was tricky. The shower's hot water was almost nonexistent, while the sink hot water was almost too hot. Strangely, I found bathroom plumbing in several hotels we stayed in Ireland had bathroom plumbing glitches. Also, on arrival the hotel was understaffed, making check in a little difficult. .
