Wonderful views of the city and river from the Doll Room. Very comfortable room full of old school charm. Breakfast was also excellent and Simon's history of Dubuque was an added bonus.

This was the first bed and breakfast that my husband and I have ever stayed at. It was pleasantly delightful and we would definitely stay here again. The house was very well kept. We had a great stay at the Hancock House. The room was great, the view of Dubuque was fantastic, and our hsot Simon was very friendly. My wife enjoyed the breakfast (I preferred to sleep in) and loved hearing about the history of the area. Overall, a great choice!

Hancock House is one of the best B&B's I've stayed at ever (business or pleasure trips). The room furnishings, a good firm mattress, fine shower AND superb brkf made this a memorable trip. Will plan on staying again next spring & will encourage my sisters to as well (our annual sibling get-together). Note: II grew up in Dbq so know the city well; a great location just above 'downtown' but placed aside a cliff and the old 11th St. cable car site.

Great beautiful historic home

I love the beautiful historic houses and the character they have. The bed was super comfortable, and I slept 10 hrs straight. Only negative was the parking on the hillside due to the location of the house. Excellent overall!!
