Safe, secure, comfortable and pet friendly

The site is well placed, a few minutes drive from the town / beaches and offers camp sites and fixed accommodation. We had a deluxe villa or cabin, which was fine for 2 people but might get a little manic with the full complement of 2 adults and 3 kids. There is a covered deck outside which extends the space and dining options. The cabin was well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, etc. and the main queen bed was very comfortable. One much appreciated (by my wife) feature was a mirror with lighting above and a shelf and power point below. Essential for doing hair and makeup and so often lacking in hotels / motels. Top marks for that!!! The site is pet and child friendly with lots of space and activities for the kids. There is a one off fee for pets (dogs) which is payable per visit regardless of length of stay.

Great spot for the family

We stayed at the Eden Gateway twice, on the way down and back to and from our daughter in Gippsland. The property is clean and spacious with a mix of static and mobile caravan and camping sites and a number of luxury cabins - which we used. A major benefit for us was that the site is pet friendly for our toy poodle. There is, however, a one off (per visit) charge for pets. The cabin was very well equipped with everything you need and was spacious with two rooms, double for mum n dad and bunks for up to 3 kids. There was plenty of room in the "family room" - but it might be a bit manic with those 3 kids. There's plenty of room and activities for the kids outside but, and the town and beach are a couple of minutes drive - you could walk it. In the town, there is a range of shops, including supermarket and restaurants to suit most tastes.
