They didn’t give me free room upgrade, it cost 35 pounds. Attempted to charge me for room upon arrival when I had prepaid. Not friendly at reception the next morning. Average place to stay at best

This hotel shouldn't be advertised as 4-star hotel. Although it is not a bad hotel, the rooms and the building are a bit old, the breakfast options are basic, the bathtub in our room leaked water, the furniture in the common areas are worn and stained.

The location was amazing for walking the city. Staff were prompt and friendly. The room was clean and nice. So worth the high cost for a room with a view of the castle !

The property is convenient to everything. Didn't like the shower because there was only half of the glass wall and no door so the water was all over the floor. Additionally, during our stay there was a group of people were talking at the back of our room through 2am in the morning. We called the front desk but it doesn't help at all.

Skyland is a great place to visit in the grass market hotel is a perfect place to stay. The hotel staff is amazing and super friendly. Unfortunately, we got a stomach virus while here. The staff went out of their way to make sure that we were as comfortable as possible. My only complaint was the beds are not as comfortable as I’m used to. Also, there is quite a bit of noise outside in the market during the evening and without air conditioning. Sometimes you have no choice to leave the window open. I think we would’ve been more comfortable if we had not gotten sick and did not have to spend so much time in bed.

The hotel was located very conveniently along the grass market Street where there were shops and pubs. We were also about five minute walk from the castle, which was our main purpose to visit.
