Ideal for access to buses, trains, shops and restaurants. Very presentable, clean and quiet. Staff polite and helpful. Would definitely choose this hotel if i came to Edinburgh again.

Nice smaller option

Liked this hotel. Close to station and to a decent pub ( Penny Black). Good value and reasonably luxury. Decent shower. Didnt have breakfast as nothing clearly shown as vegan but not bothered as lots of options locally. Room was a touch cold and couldn't control that but fine in bed. Would return at the price paid for this trip as good value for Edinburgh

Sightseeing trip

Great location for sightseeing and close to the train station. Its situated just off the main street in the New Town which was perfect for us. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and the open fire was a lovely touch, especially in February when we visited! Our room was tastefully decorated, very clean and lovely and warm. We will definitely stay here on our future trips to the lovely city of Edinburgh

Parliament house Hotel is within walking distance from the bus station close to shops restaurants etc lovely hotel rooms and staff and very very quiet at night perfect will definitely visit with my sister again 😀

Edinburgh city break

Lovely hotel clean and cosy room excellent bed and quality bedding. Nice bathroom . Perfect location just off the train and 5 minutes walk . Recommend for fantastic access to Edinburgh would use again.

Not a good experience

This was an emergency booking as my flight got cancelled. I trusted Expedia's score and booked. I rarely complain, yet this time I was up for a bad surprise. After checking in I was told the room was "up the stairs" . The room was at the 3rd floor, with no lift and high ceilings. It was very trying to get there. The room was small, old. Carpet had clearly been there for a while. Bathroom was old as well and I hope clean. No independent heating, so at night was cold. During the night water pipes were vibrating, making sleep a challenge. Following morning, breakfast was served only after 8am. I had some pastries, which had been there for at least one or two days. Overall, for £200 it is not worth the price.

Very ‘oldy worldly’ type of hotel. Comfortable, clean, good breakfast, near to train station and central for getting around the city, very warm rooms, friendly staff. Only 2 things against giving a perfect review was that 1) the tv didn’t work, but as we were there for only 1 night, we weren’t that fussed about it and 2) the windows wouldn’t open even an inch, so it could be stifling in hot weather. Overall, we loved our stay there.

Great location close to Waverley

Overnight stay and wanted to be close to Waverley station. Perfect spot just a short walk away. Friendly greeting at reception and efficient check in. The whole place looked immaculate and my room (102) equally so. Clean, comfortable and a decent size. I had a great nights sleep so all in all everything I wanted.
