A` beautiful situation

Nita is an attentive and generous host and her place has many perfectly considered features. I loved that the bathtub was deep, and its window overlooks the banana trees. The towels were thick and lovely, the bed cozy with whichever pillows suited and sheets completely yummy. The kitchen has everything to offer a cook, and the sitting nook is cozy. Even in such a small space, there was a washer/dryer. Outdoor patios are also private, umbrellad, and open. I'd especially recommend this spot for a single person because there's not a lot of room, but what there is works well.

Quiet Casita 8 minutes from glorious beaches in Leucadia

My wife and I spent two weeks in this property and it served our purposes well. It is a guest house adjacent but separate from the main house and located in an upscale, quiet residential neighborhood full of multi-million dollar properties. A short walk allows you access to the SkyLoft residential development on the ridge above, with winding pathways and views of the ocean which is about a mile away. The casita has a well-organized bathroom with a bath and shower, a comfortable queen bed, a washer-dryer and a well-stocked good-sized kitchen. It is clean and attractive. outside is a patio area for lounging with chairs and another area with a covering umbrella for dining. The wi-fi works well. This is a residential area so there were no walkable restaurants/coffee shops but an 8 minute drive takes you into the main part of Leucadia, a delightful beach town with outstanding shops and restaurants (check out Valentina for upscale dinner and Nectarine Grove for smoothies and lunch.) For coffee, there are a variety of choices including Coffee, Coffee which sits at Jasper street and Highway 101. From there walk up Jasper street about 0.25 miles to the overlook of Beacon's Beach with your morning coffee and ponder the mysteries of existence while watching dozens of surfers, the majestic Pacific ocean and the cliffs of La Jolla in the distance. If inclined for a morning constitutional go down the stairs to the beach and stroll the sand for a while. If you are inclined to almond croissants and savory crepes check out Isabaelle Ariens French Baker. We had some minor issues and needs during the stay and Nita always responded quickly and appropriately. Our stay was at the end of August , a relatively warm time for San diego and there is no AC in the unit. There are two good overhead fans that helped keep us cool at night but the unit would benefit from larger screened windows to improve circulation. Ants found their way in but Nita assisted us with some ant spray and traps and we got them under control. All in all a wonderful 2 weeks and I would recommend this casita to any couple looking for tranquility and beach time in San Diego

Tranquil And Private

This is a very private one-bedroom casita located in a large property in the back of the main home. The kitchen has all of the gourmet essentials and the washer-dryer is a bonus. We recently sold our home and needed interim housing during our transition. This is ideal for a couple as a longer term option. The area is quiet yet close to Encinitas and Leucadia, with the beaches just a few minutes away. We rode our bikes quite a bit to explore the community. Nita was wonderful and very accommodating to our needs. We are grateful.
