the hotel is a national historic landmark, is very old and with a lot of history, that said it feels kind of dated and gives that eerie haunted feel à la “the shining “ (it’s not haunted ok) but it’s definitely an experience, people in the area including hotel staff are super kind and helpful, and even though the breakfast is very basic and could improve, i’d recommend staying here.

What a beautiful historic property! The lobby area is gorgeous and welcoming, I really enjoyed sitting with coffee in the mornings. I would have loved an overall tour! The room was clean with great linens and bath products. I was a little concerned about safety after reading some of the comments, but parking was easy and secure. The location makes old town totally walkable.
