A comfortable, welcoming well located property in Falmouth with generous parking

'Carvinack' is a light, spacious and welcoming 1 double bedroom semi-detached property located in a quiet residential area close to the beaches of Gyllyngvase, Castle Beach and Swanpool with its nature reserve. The town centre, harbour and seafront are either a very short drive or a comfortable walk away.

The property has a neutral decor and a tastefully appointed comfortable interior with an LG 43" 4K smart tv, Amazon smart speaker,and a well equiped kitchen with everything you are likely to need. The bedroom has a new king size pillow top hypnos mattress with an oak bed frame. There is plenty of comfortable seating with 2 velvet sofas and a bay window leather lounge chair/footstool. Classic mid century 'Ercol' elm furniture and original artwork feature throughout the property.

The bathroom with shower is located on the ground floor with an en suite wc with access from the upstairs bedroom.

Quality bedding and towels are provided.

Full gas fired central heating with radiators in every room and a living flame gas fire in the lounge. All gas appliances have an annual safety inspection and the property has up to date gas and electricity safety certificates.

Complimentary guest Wi-Fi via a high speed fibre optic broadband connection.

Throughout the property you will find contemporary original artwork.

Parking is provided directly outside the property on the drive. A private courtyard area is situated to the rear of 'Carvinack' complete with a table and chairs. Smoking is permitted in this area but not inside the house itself.

The owners live next door and are often on hand if you require assistance or would like to ask for recommendations about places to visit or local restaurants/bars to enjoy a meal or drink.

The nearby railway station and bus routes are within easy walking distance and plenty of good local taxi firms are available.

Everything was beyond perfect. Every little detail had been thought out meticulously, and all home comforts were to hand, even dishwasher tablets, tin foil and cling film.!Andrew and Rachel were wonderful hosts, and available at all times by phone or us just popping in to ask for take away menus. Could not have stayed anywhere nicer.Thank you.

Lovely accommodation in a lovely setting

Thank you Andrew & Rachel for providing such a well equipped and stylish home for our stay in Falmouth. Your attention to detail was much appreciated as were the treats left for our arrival! The accommodation itself is about 10 minutes walk downhill into town. You may wish to get a bus or taxi back as it is quite a steep hill. Or you could use the local train line. The railway station is about 5 minutes away and runs right into town. There is a fish and chip shop just round the corner which we were pleased to discover opens on Sundays. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Brilliant!

The accommodation was beautifully clean and well equipped. The bed and bedding was superb and the small ensuite loo and washbasin was just right. Off road parking was a bonus and Andrew and Rachel were charming. It was about 20mins walk into town which we enjoyed but the option of buses, taxis and the train were very easy.

We had a wonderfull stay at carvinack. We could not fault the property very clean & comfortable. It is just far enough out of town to be quiet in the evening, but only about a mile walk into town & beaches. lots of restraunts & pubs with the beerwolf being a favourite. overall a great place to stay 😊

Superb Property Superb Hosts Superb Experience

So glad for spacious off street parking in a town with lots of on-street parking. Easy secure entry from excellent check-in instructions from Andrew & Rachel. First impression was it smells like a breath of fresh air. So clean & welcoming. It feels like you're at home but someone tidied your house before you arrived! Beautifully appointed. Not a single thing out of place. Lovely bottle of bubbly & fresh milk in the fridge. I had a cuppa from the teabags & local Cornish shortbread provided within my first 10 mins at the lovely table with fresh flowers. A family member moved to Falmouth for Uni and when she walked in she said "Wow, this is beautiful." And it truly is. I cooked at the property and had everything I needed. Sparkling clean kitchen and bathrooms. Rachel and Andrew have thought of everything. Even how to manage recycling and household waste. Outdoor seating was really lovely to have with the weather being very warm. Property is very secure but we didn't have any worries in that direction. Neighbourhood seems very local and friendly. All household linens are very high quality. The bedroom had so much storage and plenty of hangers in both wardrobes. The bed itself was extremely comfortable, plenty of pillows & a duvet like a cloud. I hope to return many times to Rachel and Andrew's awesome property. This is a lesson in exactly how a rental property should make you feel. Relaxed, refreshed, rewarded. So many lovely, thoughtful touches. Simply perfect.

Fantastic property and hosts!

We had an excellent stay at Andrew and Rachel's cottage. Very clean and comfortable. The cottage was a perfect fit for our stay as we enjoyed exploring the Cornish countryside. Top marks all round, very clean and well equipped, very relaxing quiet atmosphere, all in excellent newly refurbished condition, hosts couldn't have been more helpful - being there on arrival and again when I had a car problem the evening before leaving when Andrew went to get a new wing mirror glass first thing next morning and then altered it and stuck it on as a temporary measure so I could drive home

A very well appointed immaculate house

It was a very pleasant surprise to find some lovely goodies and Prosecco on our arrival. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful. The lovely house has everything you could possibly need and was pristinely clean. It’s very well positioned for travel down into the town with either train or bus should one not want to walk. Falmouth is very interesting and there are lots of things to do round about. Would love to come back to Carvinack should we be invited to the shanty festival again. Highly recommended

Lovely place to stay

The property has a lovely, modern decor throughout. Bedding provided was of good quality and plenty of cushions and throws to snuggle up on the sofa or outside space. Everything you could need is provided. I was particularly impressed with the kitchen equipment, have found bent knives and poor pans so many times in the past I usually pack my own. The bottle of wine, milk and biscuits on arrival were a thoughtful touch. Loved the lication

Gem of a property

Excellent property, exceptionally well equipped and immaculately decorated and maintained. Location in private street with off road parking, 15 mins walk to town centre or couple of small but good beaches. Would highly recommend and intend to stay here next time we visit Falmouth.

Fantastic stay - truly home from home

Fabulous small house that truly was a perfect holiday home . Parking , location good for town and beaches , very well furnished with everything you could want provided. Owners were next door but perfect hosts and provided some nice welcome goodies . Enjoyed the stay especially as weather was great and were able to use the beaches and sea and had some fab food in the busy restaurants (booking essential) .

Everything we needed for our stay and more. Extremely comfortable and clean accommodation. Great hosts. Good location for walking into town and train station close by too. We parked up the car for most of our stay. Quiet residential area. Lots to see and do. Very good fish and chip shop nearby. Try Boo Koos on The Moor for very good food, fantastic quality and a local company too. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

A great place suitable for all; families/ couples. Smooth check in and checking out system; a really wonderful gesture with flowers, cards, Prosecco and Cornish biscuits which really felt special after a long journey. Superb House

My wife and I stayed here for 6 days in June. The house is ideal for 2 people as it has absolutely everything you might need. It has all home comforts and all the fitments are of an extremely high standard. It also has private parking on the drive in front of the house. The location is approximately a 15 minute walk to both the town centre with its harbour and the beaches,so it made an ideal base for everything in Falmouth. The hosts live next door so are on hand if needed. Andrew met us there upon arrival and was very helpful with information of the local area. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
